It's in a bad pose and it's not the actual movie render which is more detailed but the cgi model has plenty of truck parts for example his chest is the truck doors.

Their a bit tougher to find but there is kibble there I've spent time looking at all the movie models both renders and actual blue ray paused scenes and I see a lot of things for example Jolt is actually in ROTF a little more like him in the background shooting with his electric hands no seriously that's a thing.

Okay, for some reason, I haven't gotten an email notification about this thread in days, so I just caught up reading about six pages' worth of posts.

I won't respond to every point people have raised, but will point out the following:

First, Nitro shares the same body-type as the KSI Boss from AOE, with a new head and some minor accessory changes:
Image

I also recall hearing somewhere (I don't know where, though) that the figures with the "decodable glyphs" (i.e. - Nitro, Deluxe Megatron, Skullitron, etc.) are to be Toys'R'Us exclusives.

As for Skullitron's name sounding hokey, maybe Hasbro originally wanted it to be "Skeletron" but couldn't get that name, and so went for the next best thing that still evokes the connotation of a skeleton.

And finally:

Permission to be cheeky? ;;)

*doesn't wait*

If we look at the Japanese versions of the cartoons, the Car Robots original called him Gigatron and Devil Gigatron, not Galvatron. He gets brownie points for the permanent power-up though :)

No, the only other series to do that was Energon, or rather the Japanese Superlink. In Micron Legends, counterpart to Armada, both forms were called Megatron, but the new body in Superlink was given the name Galvatron, both standard and powered up. Funnily enough, he shared G1 Galvatron's fate in being reformatted back into a Megatron again in a later series

All the pics we've had of Barricade and I'm just now realizing the ring of guns around his left arm are all shotguns. #-o

Looking at Megatron and the position of his legs in jet mode on most figures I wonder if any of them can do a proper GERWALK mode? Probably not because of the arms, but it would be fun.

Then again, Whirl's GERWALK mode doesn't use his arms...

Hey, Hasbro, if you want to repaint another Generations figure for the movie, even as an exclusive, I'd love to own another Whirl in black!

I'm still just wondering how Galvatron became Megatron again, what happened to the gaping hole in his chest; and why he decided to go from a truck to a jet.

Because Megs finally realised that being a truck is Optimus's thing and it was either going back to a slow-ass tank or a super fast bad-ass spaceship as when he was at his best.

My theory is that Galvatron gets an upgrade from the knight ship (kinda like how Optimus did), thus giving him his new form.

I'd like to say "Whoops! I should have corrected that!" but unfortunately, that's how the thing goes. No third E. Google "Delet this" and consider whether the Fallen may have had a point.

...Anyway, dreadful memes aside, I'm disappointed to hear Nitro is going to be TRU exclusive, as there's no TRU near me. He looks pretty great.

If this habit of retooling older figures for this line continues (which I hope it does, actually) I'd love to see some of the older Movie-line figures reissued in new colours. 2007 Wreckage, ROTF Bludgeon, basically every ROTF Scout ever...

Megatronus is The Fallen.

I guess even though they never said so common sense alone must mean that even Movie Megatronus must be a thing as otherwise how can he have his status as "The Fallen" before he was Fallen - he has to have a previous name to make sense even if ROTF never said as much.

--------

If each one of those Asian Exclusive (possibly TRU exclusives in other regions) Deluxes are slight remoulds - and one of them has yet to have it's original shown - does that imply the KSI bot has a mainline version due at some point that is the normal retail version of Nitro's mould.
which would contain some minor design tweaks.

Perhaps the mainline version could have a new head his whips and some colour tweaks like a darker grey slightly metallic armour and a pure black robot interior maybe a few splashes of red or magenta.

I'd like the "pair" to complement each other but not be identical.

You know i'd not actually mind a reissue of ROTF Soundwave either - perhaps in a pure white & grey body or white and blue (sort of like the Shattered Glass / MP3 colours).

Likewise with the Takara version of Wheeljack (in a G1 deco) - that wouldn't be a bad thing to slip in some place either.

He could always be a store exclusive mold with no mainline release. Wouldnt be a first time.

It's all because the real name of The Fallen wasn't brought to light until after ROTF had come and gone.

Posted by RAR on March 21st, 2017 @ 2:53pm CDT
Yes I realise that - I was saying that because it makes sense to assume that was the case even in the Movie Universe (even if it is a latter addition). and the same no doubt applies to War Within "The Fallen" too.

william-james88 wrote:He could always be a store exclusive mold with no mainline release. Wouldnt be a first time.

I'd welcome the option though if it was intended to be someone else before hand. I only brought it up as there was Two 'Horsey Dragons' it seemed a reasonable supposition to make that Nitro might be exist in two versions too - what with the common thing to do these days being designing each toy with at the very least an alternative head (Which is likely what happened with RID Wingblade I expect - even if perhaps that might have been better used for another character like Slipstream).

I'll be curious to see what the alt mode looks like for Nitro.

-------

I do wish they'd consider using the 2018 Bumblebee Movie as a means to release all the things that were missing from previous lines - sort of like how the Wolverine Figure line threw random X-Men characters at you to pad out all the Wolverines.

The same idea would be great to do with the Bumblebee line. AT THE VERY LEAST I want some 1970's and 1960's Bee toys out of it.

The Grim King wrote:I'm still just wondering how Galvatron became Megatron again, what happened to the gaping hole in his chest; and why he decided to go from a truck to a jet.

Simple he changed his name back to Megatron since Galvatron was a KSI name they gave him but his mind was still Megatron's as for the body thing you do remember about Transformium right?

Or maybe Galvatron is just a "clone" and since that head of Megatron's back at the KSI base was clearly stated to still be alive or at least "functioning" something or someone (creators?) could rebuild that head into that Knight Megatron while Galvatron is killed in the beginning of the movie like ROTF Demolishor and Sideways with the Autobots letting their guard down believing Megatron to be gone forever.

The second one is just a theory based off watching AOE a few times this year and paying attention to the scenes regarding Galvatron.
