Oh, that Armada Starscream is beautiful!!!

Image

My only gripe it is that the sword(s) no longer form his wing. I hope the intakes fold onto his shoulder for a more accurate look. I'm immediately sold on this guy! :x

Scoop and pals are looking amazing as well! I would be surprised if we don't get him retooled into Scrapper. He would make a pretty nice Scrapper.

Now bring on Skywarp!

If I were to get Predaking, it would only be for the fact he has the black armor pieces (Seeker torso to boot as well!) I've been hoping for. Now for some purple and brown bits to complete the set...

I can't tell if Scoop is Deluxe or Scout (Generations Legends) size.

Predaking looks like a Bionicle (even more-so than the other Constructbots).

He's supposed to be a Deluxe. That's what we were told back at BotCon.

Scoop hits the button of my G1 nostalgia, though I didn't have a G1 Scoop. For some reason I can't explain, the toy looks great fun to me.

Armada Starscream looks neat but I don't have a connection to the Armada toys.

Construct-Bots Predaking looks like more Construct-Bot goodness to me so I'm pleased.

Really cool looking Armada Starscream! The swords still coming from his wings is a cool homage even if his whole wing can no longer turn into a sword. I wonder what you can do with those parts on his back? Hopefully they can still come up as cannons. Scoop also looks pretty great with his little two pals.

If Armada Starscream has a chance I'm really hoping Energon Scorponok gets a chance in Generations! Hopefully we see more updated Unicron Trilogy characters.

That Starscream looks awesome but my one nitpick would be that those colors are not even close to being accurate. I hope those aren't the final colors or I hope Takara's will be show accurate.

Scoop looks cool to.

Wait, what? The swords store inside the wings? I thought they made up what used to be his thrusters in jet mode!

Hopefully we see more updated Unicron Trilogy characters.

This so many times. I'd like to see Red Alert, Demolishor, and Cyclonus.

excited for the scoop. Based on the pic, that looks like its hand painted. I guess since the prototype was shown via pic at BotCon, that if it is in color is probably hand painted. Regardless, looks good and if that is the color scheme, it looks nice and i'll expect it in a flatter or more satin like finish

I'd say the colors are pretty decent. I wish there was more silver/gray on the legs, and the red was more like this. The red seen here feels like it has a touch of orange.

No vehicle mode shot of Starscream? Looks really nice though; I'd pick it up. Scoop looks like a nice figure even if it seems like an odd choice to update.

The ConstructBots don't really do it for me, but that Predaking is nice. I will admit my first thought was G1 Predaking. :P

Besides the black detailing around the intakes on his pecs, shoulders, and the chinstrap, and that the lower legs should be grey instead of black, what's he missing? Looks right to me. It's hardly "not even close."

Might just be the camera. Red it one of those obnoxious colors that doesn't like showing up properly / in its rightful hue.

No, actually I think they're under the wings. I'm basing this assumption on this pic from TFW.

You can see some translucent pieces under the wings which I'm pretty sure are the swords.

Hopefully the arms can actually be swiveled to the correct position in jet mode without making too much of a hindrance.

Yeah, I see it now. I saw the translucent thrusters on the jet mode in another of TFW2005's image set and that's what I assumed.

Awesome that the swords still store in the wings. That's one gripe taken down a significant notch!

Starscream looks amazing but I doubt he will see him packed with Swindle, but it does look like he has mini con ports on his arms so only time will tell.As for Scoop the robot mode looks like it belongs in the 80s cartoon which some may think is a good thing others a bad thing.I really would like to see a Decepticon repaint, then I may consider buying it.Constructacon colours would be perfect an would go well with ROTF MixMaster with G1 colours.

Ok, I guess I like Starscream a little better since I just realized he's a deluxe and not a voyager. I might have to get him. Just because my expectations for quality go down with the class.

Still though, so many things wrong! The wing isn't a sword, the colors are off, the null cannons are not mounted on his back in bot mode, gah! I do hope the null cannons can detach and mount on the shoulders since they don't flip like before. Even though their translucence would ruin that look anyways. I didn't really expect a Swindle but he would've been nice too, even if he didn't transform.

Give me more Armada generations! As long as they're highly poseable I'll take them.

Well, the swords can store in the wings, so I guess that's a plus. If accuracy is bothersome, it appears the wings can pop off, so if you're keen on displaying him, I suggest having him hold a sword and leaving the traditional left wing off to the side. That's what I'll most likely be doing. ;)

Agreed, the colors are a tiny bit off. More specifically, the legs. They need more silver/gray.

Image

The Armada anime also had his hips silver/gray as well, so I wish they had done that as well.

The intakes appear to fold onto his shoulders, giving him his traditional look. Don't know what to say about the shoulder-mounted null ray cannons.

A Swindle would have been really nice, agreed. We'll just have to see if the official images actually have him.

Give me more Armada generations! As long as they're highly poseable I'll take them.

Agreed on all accounts. I'd love to see them pump out Red Alert, Demolishor, or Cyclonus.

Out of all the targetmasters they go with Scoop? Is he some kind of cult/fan favorite that I'm just not aware of?

Or, are we just choosing characters based on infinite repaint potential now?(scrapper, landmine, etc)

Indeed.

LANDMINE! That's who I thought it was... and we just had a Landmine, not too long ago... so I'm really not digging yet another RANDOM construction truck when they could instead (oh, I don't know  ) release a proper Devastator? Wait... I forgot - Hasbro is good with third parties covering that!

Also, not feeling SS. I just think he looks a little dinky. The larger Armada SS seems grander. >:oP

UH OH!!! IT'S THE OPINION POLICE!!! Quick, anyone with dissension or criticism, HEAD FOR THE HILLS! Hasbro, as you say, does NOT care to hear complaints. Starscream is delicious...

My mad ravings have been answered. The Armada Starscream was great, only needed shoulder joints and an extra hip pivot. And Skywarp shouldn't have had a new head. Those 3 were great.
This one has all that and more, cannons can flip down on the back. Hopefully they'll make all three seekers. I'm already in seeker heaven with the upcoming Thundercracker to complete the FOC trio. + Rhinox/Waspinator, good times. No complaints.
But I already forgave Hasbro for anything they'll do the coming 5 years for FOC Starscream/Bruticus and Metroplex.

I'll be getting Scoop to, since I only own a very few Target Masters.

And they'd also better do five repaints as general releases and not goddamn exclusives.

Yeah. I read that most of these new Deluxes are supposed to show up in the "Dark Cybertron" series from IDW. I'd believe it.

Third party companies, begin your contemplation of a mini-Swindle. Seriously, though: I don't own an original Armada Swindle, and if I did, he would look a little too large with Starscream.

I've not nostalgic connection to either Armada Starscream or Scoop, but I could see myself getting these guys. Maybe hold off on Screamer to see if there's a repaint lined up, but even in the red this guy will be pretty cool. Always liked the robot mode and swordsman idea behind the Armada design, just the toy...really didn't sell me on that idea.

Scoop just looks like an awesome generic orange Autobot construction dude. If/When we get a nice IDW Impactor, or larger sized Origins Megatron, I could see this guy working the Energon mines with them.

edit: Shrapnel and Tailgate will be mine. Loving these new Legends, and the more smaller bots (as opposed to larger bots in smaller scale) we get the better!

Thank Primus! Very interesting that the cannons are facing that way in jet mode and robot mode, but hey I'll take it.
If the wings are removable and able to be held, even if they don't fold out into swords, I'll be really happy. But I'm not counting on it.

Also just noticed the ports on his arms. Nice.

I picked up Cybertron Swerve a couple months ago (just before they started doing IDW stuff), specifically in case they did a Tailgate, haha. I haven't read much of the comics, but I love the two of them and their nonsense. If I ever convince myself to get around to it, I plan to mod Swerve's head a bit and paint it up to give him a visor. Yeah, I know they also recently revealed a Legends Swerve, but I'm not in love with it.
