Just when you thought you had had enough of those half-images teasing upcoming toys, we now have another one! Courtesy of our typical source zmultiplier on weibo we now have the bottom half (yes, not the left or right half) of what appears to be Titans Return Brainstorm! This is anticipated to be a brand new deluxe class figure, different from his Generations version, and rumor has it that this mold is to be an extensive retool of our old friend Blurr. What do you make of this new image? Sound off in the comments section below and as always stay tuned for even more news regarding the Transformers.

Looks pretty cool so far and with him being a retool of Blurr at least we get a good look at the detailing in Blurr's legs.

This person has all of the images in their entirety. They are, for some reason, leaking them because they .. I dunno.. want to feel relevant to the fandom in some way. I made a similar rant the second time he "leaked" this nonsense. Doesn't he know he'd get more admiration if he leaked WHOLE images? But instead we all kinda hate him :lol:

The legs are the same as Blurr

I'm not even a staff guy in any way, and I share your irritation.

What is this guy's problem? Toyfair is what, 5 days away?, I'd rather get the whole bunch at once at a big event, it's kind of exciting but it's kind of killing the hype. (disclaimer: personal opinion).

The TR Brainstorm rumor from the Transmissions Podcast came out in November last year. Does this mean, you guys also have been sitting on these images since that time? :lol:

I never got the 25th anniversary Unicorn and Primus when they were out on retail. And they are now prohibitively expensive on the secondary market where I'm at. It would be most welcome for me and I'm sure other collectors if Hasbro released them again.

I think I'd like the voyager better. I think Brainstorm looks better with a faceplate.

i really like both. the Rebirth is what hooked me on the character (his name is frikkin Brainstorm and I like smart guys) and IDW has only expanded it, so I'm good with both

If you visit my Deviantart page you'll figure out that I like IDW MTMTE Brainstorm a lot.

He's just too friggin awesome! I still am trying to decide on getting that Gen figure of him.

Brainstorm? A character who turns into a jet fighter retooled(?) from a character who turns into a car (without visible changes to the mold below the waist), after just getting the headmaster treatment a year ago...?

I said before I thought Blur would be a good base for Moonracer, and the colors in this image are consistent with that. Consider her IDW appearance:

I'm kinda confused as to why people think a Deluxe Brainstorm won't have a faceplate. I get that he didn't have one in his animated appearance in the G1 cartoon, but Hasbro very rarely seems to go for cartoon accuracy (In fact, that's Takara's specialty: Just look at UW Bruticus).

Hasbro seems to favor G1 Toy accuracy (Just look at the last few Hasbro iterations of Soundwave and his Yellow Visor), then comic accuracy, THEN Cartoon. The red knee decals seem to be a giveaway as to a G1 toy accurate Brainstorm. He didn't have red on his knees in the Headmasters Cartoon as far as I know (His legs were almost completely solid white, except for his feet, which were dark gray).

Of course, if the head mold was designed together with Takara, there's a chance he won't have the faceplate. But I'm not sure how often mold design collaboration happens.

After a particular plotline revelation in More Than Meets The Eye, IDW Brainstorm now has no faceplate.

Plus, they already did a headmaster brainstorm with a similar head connection system. If they end up being compatible, many collectors already have a faceplate head they can swap in if they prefer.

I love that image, sometimes I miss my 40k days but c'est la vie.

Now, now guys, va'al is right to stick to the embargo...After all hasbro can easily find him :-P

and I still think this is hasbro testing a new form of hype making. After this they'll probably try a scavenger hunt approach where different fansites get different parts of the picture and have to search for the other parts.

Also it should be obvious to everyone that stu is the spy trying to frame va'al so he can find out about the stash of pictures.

And maybe they turn Kup into a Headmaster like they turn Powermaster Optimus Prime into a Headmaster.

Because the people who saw the figures already have said that Blurr and Brainstorm share the same mold. And that picture has the same legs as Blurr but they are green instead. So, its Brainstorm and not Blurr.

The TR Brainstorm rumor from the Transmissions Podcast came out in November last year. Does this mean, you guys also have been sitting on these images since that time?

If anyone cares. I have been a news staff all along and I never saw them. I think all Vaal was saying was that the guy who put these up must have the full photo. And so would others (since the transmission podcast and other saw them too). So what's with the dumb cat and mouse game.

Actually, Brainstorm only lacked the faceplate for most of a full issue. He now wears it regularly again.
