Transformers Buzzworthy Bumblebee Creatures Collide 4 Pack Full Revealed

Goldbug actually being the beetle has turned me to buying the set. I like it much more now

It is so cool that they went with the name Skywasp. One of the very last characters Fun Pub created.

Now I'll admit - this repaint pack has some tempting items in it. I didn't much care for Kickback, but somehow the Ransack repaint looks better. The VW mold for Bumblebee was good in the Netflix line. And Scorponok's toy colors look better (because everything looks better in black). The only one I'm not on board with is the Waspinator repaint. Never really cared much for that mold. But if I see this, then I may get it regardless.

That's what people want, but depending on how yellow or gold the plastic is, it might be enough to get this one and do a simple head swap with other recent Bees. Netflix Bee is far too orange in my opinion. I think the best event would be an animation-colored Bee in SS86 or separately in this line, but who knows. It's probably easier to cover the VW licensing expense in a large multipack like this.

Really have to wonder why this one expired and Soundwave didn't when they were released at the same time. Well that is interesting. With 3 different characters out of 4 (unlike the previous set which only had 2 new characters, and only 1 people wanted), this 4 pack makes a little more sense than last year's. This one is going to be crazy difficult to find I think.

Nice set, always nice to see some updated Throttlebots and Deluxe Insecticons (and pretty decently too). And Skywasp's name is simply genius.

Shame that Scorponok is not really interesting, I'd rather seen the likes of Double Punch.

Goldbug does look nice, too bad I never find these four pack or the bot in question that I'm after at target. If they did preorders for these like they do others I'd have a chance.

I'm wondering if we all just misinterpreted the original explanation and it isn't the mold that Walmart has the rights to but the exact figure/release. The Legacy SW was always going to be a repack, it's entirely possible that their deal was less "we can only use this mold for Walmart exclusives until blank months from now" and more "we can't take the exact same figure we just made as a Walmart exclusive, slap it in a new box, and ship it to every retail chain". Unless the Target and Walmart execs are up on G1 canon, they have no explicit reason to assume Goldbug is Bumblebee and not a different character because he has a different name (sometimes he is a different character even), so in this instance they took a mold tooling that originally released as a Walmart exclusive but repainted it and retooled it into a different character and gave it to a different store, which we've seen done before (Kingdom Sideswipe vs Red Alert, Kingdom Terrorsaur vs BB Toy Terrorsaur), instead of what doing a Netflix Soundwave rerelease in Legacy would have been.

The comic solicitations also show the Netflix mold being used for SG Soundwave, so we'll likely have another data point for this whole thing next month anyway.
