Thanks to one of our readers we now know that Transformers fidget spinners and cubes are being developed. So far there is only an
image of the Bumblebee fidget spinner but there might be more on the way. There are also some proto images of Optimus and Bumblebee fidget cubes along with some two sided-spinners. Keep in mind that they might look different when they are completed.

I was thinking the same thing. I am also amused the outer bearings look like tires.

Sorry sir, but I find this comment disrespectful. I know of people that feel like these helps them, and now Transformers' fans have something that helps them personally and with their favorite brand on them.

And Hasbro is the one making them, it's not outsourced at all. And judging from the product codes (C4561 for the whole assortment, C4563 for Bumblebee) we'll get at least one more (the C4562 one to fill the gap).
I actually have a spinner if I may add, and it's said to help especially people like me.

Bit late. The shops here can't get rid of the things now and they're turning up in charity shops and such cos kids here are bored of them.
I never saw the point. I sorta understand the cube things with the switches and dials but these just spin and that's it?

I dont know if im just old or out of the loop but i dont understand whats so great about these things at all, but not surprised in the least hasbro making some. They jump on every fad eventually, only surprised it took them this long.

In a sense it's similar to the doodling people do at the office. Something to keep part of the mind occupied to keep it focused instead having your head hit the desk in a daze

I have action figures on my desk for that reason. Various Transformers (particularly Deluxe Sqweeks) and that TMNT OotS mega bloks kit i got last week is doing a fine job of that too. I even carry a legends class movie Prime or Bee in my pocket sometimes to fiddle with when i'm anxious or bored out and about too.

I heard at one stage that they were intended for folks with autism and ADHD. But as the Wiki points out ...
The toy has been advertised as helping people who have trouble with focusing or fidgeting by relieving nervous energy or psychological stress. As of May 2017, there is no scientific evidence that they are effective as a treatment for autism or ADHD.
I say bring back the Yo-Yo.

It's really sad that something that is helpful to some people has become a fad that so many companies are trying so hard to cash in on.

Actual autist here. I hate these things with a burning passion. They're a cheap fad made to cash in on a compulsion that can be sated with practically anything and certainly doesn't need a special gadget to solve, and also to get brownie points because "Oh hey these are for autistic people!". Even though, as mentioned, they've been proven to have absolutely no benefit with attention spans.
The sooner this stupid fad dies the better.

They are dumb, and everyone wants one... I agree, but darn... I wish I had invented this. Inventing the next cheap little gadget, or thing everyone wants is hard...
In my day it was Garbage Pail Kids, my younger cousins had pogs...now this...every generation has a few.
I only got them for my kids when I saw how cheap they were. I think my son played with his for about a week. Now he's back to playing with his Transformers

What really surprises me about this fad is that it's happening world wide the same time the slime fad is hitting world wide (videos of both are all over YouTube) and they're both cheap fads to get into, not something crazy that's only popular during Christmas and incredibly expensive like Furbies or Tickle Me Elmo, or heavily licensed and collectible like Pogs or Shopkins. And with anyone being able to make and sell these (or even homemade like the slime) they're pretty unique fads. Plus the fidget stuff is also being targeted at adults and appears to be working. I find it interesting, stuff like this doesn't happen often, it's pretty rare.

No, think of them as tiny propellers you can idly spin between your fingers. They're quite interesting from a physics perspective as the ends are weighted, so things like leverage, inertia and the like all come into play (tl:dr they keep spinning on their own for longer than a regular propeller).

You'd think it would be Autobot symbols in his crosshairs. Unless its MTMTE Megatron hunting down the DJD.

Or a version of SG Megs hunting his evil normal counterparts.

I actually love Fidget Spinners. Ever since I was a kid in the 80's, if I couldn't get outside with my bike, skates or skateboard, I'd just sit there and WD40 up the wheels and spin them for what seemed like forever. Damn I was a weird kid. That's why as soon as the kids at my job started bringing them in, I had to buy a few. And now there are officially licensed Transformers ones...

new images of the two new fidget cubes from Hasbro's Fidget Its line have popped up. We can see Optimus Prime Fidget Its cube in package as well as the Bumblebee counterpart. These cubes have different features on every side. These images were found on
Tfcn's Facebook page and
Weibo.

Hah, those are actually pretty cute. Would never buy one, but i'm glad they put a little bit of effort in, and made the fidget cube look like a lil' robo.

I agree. The Bumblebee one looks a bit intense to me, but Prime is cute and I'd be tempted to grab one of him for a couple bucks, if only for the novelty of it.
