Didn't Bay say that Armageddon's test screening[s] received a 92, and that the Transformers screening beat even that?
I didn't like Armageddon, so I guess the scores are meaningless to me.
Anyway, there's not a lot of info in this article, though I am intrigued as to what this "real emotional storyline" is.

The emotional bit is a rumor, that could be a spoiler, so I won't write it.
I tried to do that write it in a different color so you could highlight it, but I don't know how. If someone PM's me I will tell them and they can do it.
A co-worker of mine read a leaked script, and that's what it says, but you never know.

If you read the last piece of text, you can see that Tom Desanto says that the film will be just over 2 hours. Another 'small' mistake on Mr. Labouef's side I guess...

I'm not trying to be negative or be a nay-sayer, but these test screenings are really only part of the PR machine leading to the film's release. Of course the producers and Mr.Bay are going to tell the media the film tested very highly. I can't see them telling the press that it tested poorly less than two months before a release. They control alot of the flow of information leading up to the film's release and they want everyone to think it's the best film ever much less on the the best that Mr.Bay has done.

I agree it certainly is part of the PR machine that most movies go through, i don't feel any animosity for it though, because everyone does it, I don't feel like they are trying to con me into watching it..the movie ticket amounts will be enough evidence as to if Michael bay, under steven spielberg's direction has changed the way he does movies..if not for the better...we will see, i for one am excited and not because of this article, or the bots forms themselves, but for what this movie is Giant robots duking it out on the big screen..

Ah the media propaganda machine is hard at work.
They won't fool me. We'll see when the movie comes out.

Actually, it says "just about two [hours]," not just over two. Of course, depending on how you round off numbers, it could actually mean 2:45.

well most if not all of bay's movies have been around 2hrs and sometimes more so i'm sure this will be at the very least 1h45 but probably closer to 2 from that "just about" comment desanto made

Even if it is just part of the PR campaign for the TF movie, I'm still glad to hear it! I'm looking forward to the movie. Spider-Man 3 left me in the dust, hopefully this film won't do the same.

well if the movie sucked they wouldn't release info saying it rated high .. or someone would have proved that statement wrong. So i feel it's people being nay sayers because they can't get pass the robots not looking like g1 So they'll constantly hate.. shit on and degrade any and everything just to satistify they're opinion. and it seems to be a mob mentality about it to.*sigh*

QFT. I'm in wait and see mode myself, but a crap load of die hard fans could go see it, love it, and the nay sayers would still spout out "It's PR, the movies gonna suck". Obviously, if it's testing high, the PR machine will go to work, not if it's low.
That said, sounds good. I'll see for myself, cuz I don't base my views on reviews alone, but this sounds really good.

Why are people so surprised? I seem to recall that a certain Steven Speilberg had his hands in the creation of this movie....

it should be like pirates of the carribeans 3 at least 180min long.
Re: Transformers Movie - Highest Tested Michael Bay Film

Err....180 minutes is a long long running time.
That's exactly 3 hours.
120 is 2, and 150 is 2.5 hours. I could do 2.5, but 3? No.
