The Transformers Swapticons fidget toyline has been found in Walmarts across Canada. They retail for $9.97 CAD. While they are sold under the Transformers brand, they are more fidget toys than they are transformers, and have a lower age range (5 years old), so that's what they should be seen and judged as.
These have been purchased by me, your news editor, and they work very well for what they are intended to be. Both my 2 year old and 7 year old really like them. Though the locking mechanism does require some control of motor skills that a 2 year old does not have, hence the age recommendation being 5+.

Got a couple of the little sets, they are oddly addicting little things. My daughter loves them too

I saw them in store. I find them neat, but not "full price" neat. If they ever come on sale, I may get a set or two.
