Transtopia Masterclass - Transformers: Prime Airachnid

Posted by Blurrz Aug 27, 2011 at 6:23am CDT 127,081 views
The Transformers: Prime toy line is yet to be released, and there has still been no word on the release of a certain character, Airachnid. The femme fatale and villainess of the show gets some appreciation from Seibertron.com member and customizer gregles. This Airachnid is a Duocon, with her helicopter alternate mode containing her major body, while her spider legs then form into a spider. Combined, you get the lethal Decepticon. Take a look at her below (as well as gregles' custom Knock Out and Breakdown), but beware her bite!

Wow! That's amazing. Knock Out and Breakdown look incredible too. I never would have thought of making those 2 out of the movie Sideswipe and Stockade molds. I'd like to see more images of them.

Bot- and Spider-modes are awesome. I fail to see how any official release could compare on those two modes. Too bad you couldn't incorporate the legs as the helicopter blades to avoid the duo-con bit, but reality IS a bitch.

I went to work on her a few days after predatary first aired on youtube so I wasnt aware of the alt mode until a few weeks later when I heard some rumours start to appear about the helicopter mode. By then the legs that I had already selected and started to custamise could never be helicopter blades. the duo con bit isnt ideal but it gains a drill mode which is at least fitting with the character. I have wonderd since to myself if I was to start again how I could get the legs to blades element of the design. I notised an autobot which had a helicopter alt mode from the resent dark of the moon range (I cant remember its name but it might be an old one re-used like whirl or evac) where the blades crisscross his chest and fold down under its armpits and over its shoulders. these blades could work as a starting point as its quit rare for helicoper blades to have joints in them that fold down but the blades would have to have lots of extra joints worked into them at several points going down them which could kinda work but would be extremly difficult given how thin the blades are. has anyone else got any ideas how this could be achieved thanks for feedback and interest :D :CON:
