New Grey Prototype Pictures for Transformers Siege Soundwave, Prowl and more

I NEED that Soundwave in my collection Laserbeak is awesome and Ravage is... fine. But I will probably change him out for my Universe Ravage from Hound. Ptery guy looks cool and so does Prowl. Chromia is cool too.

I still really don't like that Soundwave at all even here in just grey. Never been fond of his design in general (too boxy for me) but I don't think all that detailing works for him. And yes that alt-mode is still junk

Ok. I thought so. They look like prototype grey in those shots, so hopefully that's just a factory sample.

I'm hesitant to say that's the case just because a bunch of figures on display had these "Deco Sample (Not Final)" stickers which I suspect they would have stuck on Ironhide if he wasn't finished.



And the fact that the gray arms are on both the bot and the vehicle and both are in molded colors and factory painted I'm just not so sure these are samples. Hopefully they're simply supposed to be painted red instead of molded and they yanked these out of the factory before it could be done. I also wish the light gray on the shoulders and wheels were darker, but who knows.

And man, Soundwave is armed to the teeth. Shoulder canon, rifle, microphone(?) gun and all three combining into one long gun thing (probably looks better treated like a shoulder mounted bazooka or something) plus a pair of guns that can flip out from under his forearms. Pretty good for a communications officer.

Oooh, Prowl is lookin fine. So sleek compared to the rest of the overly wrinkly-looking Siege line so far.

Soundwave looks awesome. It's going to take me a while to get used to the cassetteybois, though.

Just received my first siege figures yesterday... sideswipe and hound and they're solid, fun toys. The worn paint marks battle damage isn't too jarring,

They have a certain heft and an improvement on the classics releases (I didn't bother with the Combiner wars iterations). For their time the classics were pretty awesome but a lot of the transformations were too fiddly something the seems to have improved since CW...

re these prototypes, looking forward to them.. TR sound wave was a good figure but totally out of place scale wise. Also like the fact he has a g1 inspired hand gun. His alt mode is a bit weird but it kinda fits in with deceptions being flyers...

Not quite understanding chromia's disappearing back pack in the pix... seems like it's removed completely in some shots.

Prowl reminds me of prime's smokescreen

Hope they release a larger variety of micromasters.

The rescue patrol seems to be a retool of the combat patrol

This site seems to like to mess with that, doing stuff like randomly delete the bracket from one of the tags or inject an extra closing tag. In this case it seems to be outright ignoring an opener tag and possibly double-counting a closer.

The best thing that could've been done was have a combiner peg that could attach or detach from the figure.

Except a combiner peg won't do you any good if there is no 5mm port to attach a hand or foot. That was the other thing removed when Siege Chromia was designed.
