Video Review of ToysRus Exclusive: Hasbro Transformers Masterpiece Bluestreak

With Toysrus' Exclusive Hasbro Masterpiece Bluestreak in stock in both the US and Canada, a review was inevitable. Of course, it has been said that the amount of differences between this release and the Takara one are between negligible and non existent but as fellow Seibertronian IJK Productions puts it :

I just figured that I'd send in the video that I did about Hasbro's MP-06 Bluestreak and point out that it is exactly the same a Takara's MP-18 Streak.

Enjoy!

So I was at TRU yesterday, looking for some CW limbs, when I spotted a MP Sunstorm. I thought about getting it, but for $80 it was a hard sell. I like the character from the DW comics, but the MP figure has some red parts that aren't accurate to the character. Is the figure good to own by itself, or is it just a cheap repaint?

You found one and DIDN'T buy it?! Dang, that's good self control if you like the character. I kinda wish I picked him up and Acid Storm, can never have too many MP's

At 80$ and with a weak-ass chest which doesnt lock, I dont think every seeker is necessary.

It's both. The MP-11 mold is extremely worth having at least one incarnation of, even if you also have one of the old MP-3 mold seekers. It's great. Hasbro Sunstorm is also a lazy repaint. Personally, I'd say if you're not super attached to Sunstorm, I'd wait for Starscream to come out in a couple months.

Happy Sunday Canadians! ToysRus.ca has listed their exclusive Masterpiece MP-07 Starscream for $89.99 CAD. We've also previously reported on the American TRU.com listing (at $59.99 USD), so there's multiple ways to nab the backstabbing Seeker. And hopefully you were able to take advantage of the recent 30% off sale and grab the Raincheck for him! They've slated the shipping date for October 13th which means the in store hunting will start for this reporter! Stay tuned to Seibertron.com: home for the best Galleries and Conversation around!

Because they're supposed to be, I believe, to be accurate to either the toy or the show.

I know and I did that. I was just confirming that it was. That's why I wrote: "it has the right skn number". Which is excellent news since Downshift had said that it had not worked with Devastator.

Huh, I guess I always assumed they were NOT upside down when I watched the show, so I never looked close enough. |:|

They're upside down, partly because that's how they should look with the wings transformed as they are between jet and bot modes. The better question should then be, why are they oriented as they are for jet mode? The reason, as I've been told, is because that is the proper way for markings to be oriented on a fighter jet, such that, if you were another jet in formation, and slightly above the plane ahead of you, you can easily read the markings (they won't look upside down to you). Same goes for markings below. You wouldn't be able to see a jet behind you, so no consideration is given to markings for that position. Same goes for two jets passing in opposite directions. You wouldn't be able to see the markings in ANY orientation moving that fast.

Continuing the tradition of great stock photography, we have the F-15 flaps and ailerons positioned incorrectly in robot mode. Seriously, it must be deliberate by this point lol

Yes, it is just a thing Hasbro apparently wants to be known for.

I was unable to pre-order because they won't ship outside of Canada. Anyone else have this problem?
