Thanks to Hasbro's most recent update to the Cyberverse section of their website we have some new Transformers Cyberverse profiles for you to enjoy! The site now has images and profiles for the most recent darlings of the line namely Sky-Byte, Jetfire, and of course Cheetor! These characters are listed as part of Chapter 2 of the Cyberverse saga also known as Cyberverse: Power of the Spark. Enjoy the images and profiles below and let us know your thoughts in the forums. As always stay tuned to Seibertron for the ultimate in Transformers news!
Function: Guardian of the Allspark
"Cheetor is the Allspark's mysterious guardian. Like, majorly mysterious. No one knows the source of his enormous strength and catlike form? Anyway, turns out being cloaked in mystery makes you very difficult to defeat, and even more difficult to buy presents for. Thankfully he uses his powers to defend the side of good against those nasty Decepti-creeps."
-Bumblebee
Function: Mighty Air Guardian
"Everyone thought Jetfire exploded in a plume of jet smoke while battling his nemesis, Sky-Byte. Luckily for the Autobots he lived to fight (and fight, and fight) another day. He never gives up, and he never gives in. Just don't get in his way when he's in the middle of combat. He has a habit of destroying everything in his path to clinch a win."
-Bumblebee
Function: Harbinger of Doom
"Part ferocious fighter, part freaky metal shark-jet with lasers, Sky-Byte is Megatron's first choice for missions that border on the impossible. He's fast, tough, and bursting at the seams with enough firepower to handle any situation. No matter where you are, if Sky-Byte is on your tail, there's no safe place to hide."

So, Cheetor has super strength, Jetfire's a born fighter, and Sky-Byte is a mad daredevil and Jetfire's rival.
Can't say that Cyberverse isn't at least trying something new with these guys.

Cheetor being the guardian of the AllSpark in this show, and Optimus Primal being the similar guardian of the Requiem Blaster in Power of the Primes, gives me the impression that Hasbro doesn't really know what to do with the Beast Wars characters. Most of them don't really fit in a back-to-basics G1 themed setting, but years of fan polls have told Hasbro that the Beast Wars characters are too popular to just leave in the past (as I suspect John Warden wants to), however it feels to me as if the same general backstory is being re-used for Cyberverse Cheetor because Hasbro can't (or don't care to) come up with anything different.

Hard to say, in some regards all you'd have to do is say that his team landed on another planet and were forced to take on organic alt modes, ala the original beast wars premise.

Or better yet, say his team landed in the very heart of Africa in a location far away from any technology or civilization, and had no choice but to scan animals instead of vehicles/metal objects since there were none available to scan.ZeroWolf wrote:Hard to say, in some regards all you'd have to do is say that his team landed on another planet and were forced to take on organic alt modes, ala the original beast wars premise.

Well, back when Beast Wars was the current toyline/cartoon, G1 was relegated to the mysterious past, which made sense for longtime fans and gave BW a vague, epic history for kids too young to remember G1. So if one accepts that BW=different-era-relative-to-G1, the now 20 year old in real life Beast-Era gets displaced into the vague past of a current G1-ish leg of the TF franchise Its characters therefore fill a similar role to the Guardian units, Mysterio-esque-drones, etc. in the G1 'toon, but with actual personality. It makes just enough sense.
One odd bio tidbit:
...makes me wonder if someone just gave him that battleship for his 100,000,000th birthday.

Hey, cut him some slack, at least he got the size right. That's better than most people's relatives can manage.

Just realized Cheetor is a Target exclusive, not sure how I hadn't noticed that before. Hope I don't regret passing on him in favor of Alpha Trion today.
Alpha Trion is pretty great though, he looks great with Siege figures, but the flaps that hang between his knees are very loose and readily fall off. Keep an those when you're buying, there isn't much keeping them in the open box! If you look at the stock photos you can see the one on the right (his left) is falling off.

So I took Cheetor to work today, and I have to say i am enjoying him so far. The main bot is a little light, and the majority of the mass went to the Battleship, but overall, he is not bad. He's pretty posable, playable, and pretty fun. I don't mind picking him up at all, he's fun! I would recommend him, he's a nice little piece of Cyberverse that is actually good

While the Transfomers Siege line might have it's own line wide COMBAT gimmick, it is simply an abundance of 5mm ports. Now, since the Cyberverse Spark Armour figures use that same 5mm system for their armour, some cross compatibility is more than possible. We now have some photos to show you the result. They come from Transformers Overdrive on Facebook and show you just how limitless the 5mm system is. Plus, the smaller blast effect parts work perfectly with the ends of the guns on the Spark Armour. The result looks like they were made for eachother, at times. Also, while not depicted, one could do an homage to Action Master Sideswipe using that blue drone hat comes with Cyberverse Spark Armour Prowl (example below).

Yes I do mind... and I'm quite tired of you constantly checking MY profile as if I'm talking about McDonald's food or something. I placed it where I wanted it. You dont have to look at it... that's the option I give to you

But this isn't the thread for that. Why would you even post that in this thread? It has no business being in here and doesn't contribute to anything about the Cyberverse toyline. That makes no sense.G1OPT1MU5PR1M3 wrote:Yes I do mind... and I'm quite tired of you constantly checking MY profile as if I'm talking about McDonald's food or something. Yea,I saw a post about a masterpiece in a siege forum the other day and guess what? Nobody said anything... deal with it and stop picking and choosing and if youd like to be helpful, there are more serious topics in the world right now that you could help with.

I keep looking at it and I’m in love with how that goes with Siege Prowl dude I totally have to get that now.

I don't even see any posts about masterpieces on the siege thread and that's after searching on the most recent 10 pages from 470 to the most recent page of 480.
Unless you thought Jefire was a masterpiece then your actually wrong about that part.
Your post was like in the here and now so if it's an old post then there's no point in going all the way back.

I know what the hell I read, nobody asked you to SORT through 470 posts. Go jump through a windshield head first

Ignoring a direction of a staff member ...
Being antagonistic towards other members ... guess those four warnings you previously had (yes, I checked your profile, oh no!) didn't sink in.
So perhaps this permanent ban will. Bye!
