You can compare the video below to our own galleries of the Hasbro figure for Whirl, too.

E-bay seller lena81822 has posted images of several upcoming Transformers today. Along with the photos of TFCC Carzap and TFCC Lio Convoy, the seller has also posted new in hand pictures of Cloud Skywarp based off the Transformers Generations Sky-Byte mold. Also please note that the online bidding is only for the Transformer and not for Kiera Knightley as well.

Here are the mirrored pictures:

Oh hell yeah. I am waiting it out for the first week though. From experience, he gets about 50 or so, so I will wait for the prices to quiet down and hopefully snatch him for 30$ or less. The odd thing about this one is that the shipping isnt free.

Why is Kiera Knightly eyeing me from behind that figure?

This mold is TERRIBLE. They should have buried the thing before it even made it to production, let alone releasing a grossly overpriced repaint of it. Silly knee joints that barely made the thing posable, ankle joints that try to buckle under the weight, arms that are too short and can barely bend, and the fact that the thing is nothing more than a shellformer.

Nothing good about it whatsoever. I would rather have a broken head on my Brainstorm than this mold in its "perfected" form.

I disagree, I think its a fantastic mold and great improvement since it actually uses the shark head as the chest without using fake kibble like the original. The legs are super stable if you tab in the knees properly and I am impressed with how well he balances. This toy has flaws, sure (the Hasbro deco doesn’t help), but I dont get the complaint about its shell. It's a great improvement in terms of the shell over its original toy. What used to look like an amazon canopy in the back is now reduced to two small wings that can be rearranged any way that suits you.

I never cared for the original, but I bought the Generations one just because I am a completest. It might be an improvement on the older one, but if so, in my opinion that is like saying a fart is an improvement over raw sewage. I wanted to like it, but in the end I could not based on the ankle, knee, and arm joints. The shell might be an improvement, but its still a shell. So many other figures they could have chose from......like a Voyager Shockwave. FOC Shockwave works because that was its look in the comics, but why we haven't had a generations or even a classics style Shockwave is beyond me. Let alone four other dinobots.

I don't even remember this character from IDW. Is Skybyte even in the comics?

Was it in the storyline that covers the giveaways in the comics? Sorry, when I said that I refer to the comics given with any of the Generations figures. I haven't read any outside of that. I see Ironhide is sporting his WFC/FOC look. Is that his most current look? Since we suspect he will be a redeco of Offroad in the CW subline I would have thought they updated it? I see Starscream has his G1 colors rather than the newer red deco, so I assume this issue is at least a year old?

From 2012, RID #5. The Generations toy uses a few design ques from this incarnation but isn't a direct match.

I rather like these colors. I do hope to get the Skybyte figure at some point in the near future, if the price is right.

Oh prices are right. The same guy selling hellwarp on e-bay is usually the lowest price you'll find. He also has the hasbro sky-byte right now and he should be going away for very little I recon.

That would be that red and blue Gen. Roadbuster, homaging Energon Ironhide (who was called Roadbuster in Japan). Some see him more as the G1 Targetmaster Crosshairs.

Ah, but was Energon Ironhide homaging G1 crosshairs? Because the other Energon Irohnide deco was homagin G1 Hound. So there could have been a bunch of homage double dipping.

Like one thing I am curious of is generations corsscut. Is it a modernising of the exclusive G1 crosscut that was released way after the facts or an homage to the Honda diaclone model that was not chosen for the Transformers line back in the day? Or both at the same time?

I'd say both at the same time, as he along with Road Rage are based on Diaclone-original decos. And there are still more to be potentially had, as there are red and black versions of the Honda City Turbo mold as well.

Oh yeah, there were a bunch initially

You know, for those diaclones, I really wish there were rereleases of the actual diaclone toy rather than a transformers encore. Like ratchet and ironhide. They have redone those a few times but it would be really cool for one set to come with the little guys so that it could be "played with" properly. And Wheeljack's cockpit is so detailed I wish I had a little diaclone guy to man it.

No.

People just prefer to think of the Cloud Roadbuster toy as a stand in for a CHUG Crosshairs since it has close-enough colors to G1 Crosshairs.
