There has been another loss in the world of Transformers Generation 1. This sad news comes to us by way of the facebook page of Jack Angel.

Philip Clarke who is most well known for voicing Decepticons Dead End and Tantrum as well as Zeta Prime has passed away. His human characters include Auggie Cahnay, Victor Drath, Abdul Fakkadi and Marty Minkler. He also voiced Dr. Go in Challenge of the GoBots.

He will be missed.

Oh... oh crap. I may have inadvertently caused his death. I was reading Zeta Prime's article over at TFWiki, and when I read his IDW section earlier today, I thought to myself, "Man, despite some positives, he was probably one of the jerkiest Autobot leaders ever, he deserved what he got." Then after reading, came back to check for any new topics, and... well, you get the idea.

He will be missed by the fandom. :-(

"face it, we're doomed". my most memorable quote from Dead End. RIP Philip Clark.

Interesting thing dead end and the Gobot Dr. Go, whom Clarke voiced were both the same model Porsche. RIP

Just Zeta. Sentinel was a different guy in the cartoon.

The episode from Generation One, "Five Faces of Darkness: Part IV".

It was a retcon. He used to be one of the nameless pre-autobot type gladiators when Rodimus visits the matrix.

Yeah, the script just referred to him as "New Narrator" at the time.

The name "Zeta Prime" was retroactively given to him in recent years.
