Will the Potential Screen Actors Guild Strike Delay Transformers 2?

It seems the end of the Writers Guild strikes may not mean smooth sailing for the sequel of the 2007 Transformers Movie, for fears of a potential Screen Actors Guild strike, that may happen this summer, also threatens to delay the film's production, along with many other films and television series.

Variety.com has posted an article discussing the potential of another strike, and Transformers Movie director Michael Bay chimed in:

"You hope for the best, but you can't be incapacitated by the possibility that there will be a strike," Bay said. "We've got to get this town back to work. I can't imagine anyone wants another strike, we're all tired. Hopefully clearer heads will prevail."

Bay said that the sequel is still recovering from the writers strike, and that he's playing catch-up after getting back his trio of writers, Ehren Kruger, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.

"They did a detailed outline before the writer's strike, and now they are in Michael Bay jail, holed up in a hotel and working feverishly," Bay said. "We're paying for a beautiful suite and they are getting a lot of work done. Hiring three writers was unusual, but it has been a godsend in getting us to where we need to be. Somehow you find a way to get it done."

Everyone deserves their cut. But if the SAG represent the actors, most of them get along pretty well with the salaries they are currently making...

But hey, I'm no Hollywood expert or anything.

That's not a biggie...but the problem with a SAG strike is that it WILL INCLUDE VOICE ACTORS. And voices are among the last things done in a movie like this. :-?

No worries. If they can't get voice actors, Michael Bay will do all voices himself.

Voice acting is actually one of the first things done for anything animated and cg so the mouth movements can match with the words.

First off, I'm against the actors in this, because they make shitloads of money already.

Second, little to no human presence is no good in a TF movie. A human "Buddy" is needed to not only give an excuse to have the TFs explain something, (So the audience is kept up to speed) but so something can be explained to the TFs.

Actually most of those actors earning millions of dollars per film are only 1% of the acting pool. My dad use to do various things like plays and soap operas, they barely make chicken scratch. My only curiousity is why they didn't just threaten to strike with the writers.
