Worst name change ever?

This afternoon, we all heard the news that BotCon 2003 would now be called "The Official Transformers Brand Collector´s Convention". And about thirty seconds later topics popped up on just about every Transformers Message Board in existance. I´ve had the pleasure of reading these posts on several different boards and there´s yet to be a single voice supporting the name change. Many people have used the phrase "Worst namechange EVER!" in homage to The Simpsons´ Comic Book Guy. However, is it true that this is the worst name change ever? Certainly, The Official Transformers Brand Collector´s Convention isn´t as catchy as BotCon. But that doesn´t mean it´s the worst name change EVER. Would could forget Bumblebee changing his name to Goldbug? Or the alteration of Hot Rod to Rodimus Major? Many fans would argue that Rodimus Major was the worst name change ever.
