This is some pretty cool news. Do you still see those periodicals in Walmarts and Newsstands where the first "volume" has a very low introductory price encouraging you to pick up the whole set as it continues? Well a new type of periodical like this is being offered in France where by the end you get to build a 20 inch Optimus Prime figure from the first Bay film with metal parts and lights. The first "volume" has Optimus Prime's head as well as a booklet and is only 1 euro. We have a French video below showing you the parts and building involved with the head.

However, I'm good. You can get a fully transforming KO Optimus Prime with more detail, and for much less from websites like "ShowzStore", "TFDirect" or "Sirtyoys". I'm sure even a 3P figure will work out cheaper in the long-run.
I suppose, if someone REALLY wanted to make a kit, in installments, it might be fine? Isn't Baltmatrix doing a YouTube series on making a Diagostini "Ecto 1" model kit?

OMG, is that company still going? I know that company from my kids days in the Netherlands (80's and 90's)!
The whole "Magazine + Collectible Model Kit" had quite the market in the 20th Century, I specifically remember a magazine series about dinosaurs with a buildable glow-in-the-dark T-Rex skeleton plus outer shell! Sure, takes patience and dedication, but the finished product was nothing to sneeze at, especially when it comes to size. I mean, almost 2 feet? That Optimus Prime will be almost the size of a Supreme or Commander!

I remember that T-Rex. The fact that it then came with outer skin blew my mind. Only got the first number though, since it wasn't expensive. I feel these things are way too pricey. Would be fun if there was a way to buy the entire thing after the fact in one package. Plus there's the risk you don't get one of the "volumes".

It would've been neat to also have mouthplate-less version of his face.Maybe in later issue?

Also after seeing this video below I got an idea for this version of Optimus:
Since this kind of magazine seens to use existing toys for inspiration, for Do you think this mold will be based on any of the previous super articulated versions, like ThreeZero ones?
