yet agin, the updated game won't run on my iPad. Just crashes on the loading screen.

I think I really am done with this game. It's still unstable (weapons fire will render as one color only, if not vanish entirely, the music will fail until I restart, the game will crash after the loading screen), and characters I JUST UPGRADED are now getting Very Hard missions, meaning I have to upgrade them again, which, oh look, they just made harder (to get Ultra Mags to Level 11 I need something like 50 cubes and gears, along with two rareium and 150,000 coins) unless you're willing to pay for crystals.

A new update is on its way for Angry Birds Transformers. TFW2005 member Esquilax79 has some screenshots (mirrored below) that show an updated called Target 2016 which states:
“Where… when are we? Seek out the targets and buildings whilst collecting energon cubes”
There are also blacked out silhouettes of upcoming characters such as the Hotrods.
Let us know if you got the app update yet or not and on which device.

Oh snap, toy-accurate G1 Galvatron homage and cab-only Ultra Magnus homage.

10 months between updates ... I'm amazed this game is still even out there in the wilderness.
Bet they still don't allow you to backup your data and move it to another device (one of the big reasons I stopped playing it)

It doesn't let you do it manually, but it lets you login to Facebook (which will then auto-save) and it auto-loads when you login with a new device. There is also an option now to choose which save point - I've only seen this as a screenshot from another player, though. There are "Enable cloud load" and "Cloud load confirm" checkboxes in the second page of the Settings screen.
Though, I only check in every 4 hours to mine gems since I've upgraded everybody to Level 15 and am missing only Nemesis Prime. It's only when they introduce new bots that I start playing it aggressively again.

Believe it or not, the Angry Birds Transformers mobile game is now in its third year. To celebrate, we got a new update on November 2nd, which featured a new character addition: Matilda. Matilda sports Nautica's robot body, making this Nautica's first appearance in a video game. It is great to see this character branching out of the comics onto other Transformers platforms, like the toy she got earlier this year. Speaking of the toy, the character model in the game seems to be in a colour scheme and design closer to that toy than Nautica's comic book appearance. You can see some screenshots below along with a Spanish language youtube video where the character can be seen in action. You can get the game on the Google Play store for free.
