The police are investigating the case. It is unknown at this time if it was a random act of burglary or if the thieves chose to rob the store on December 4th due to the fact that the European lowlands celebrate the children's holiday of Sinterklaas on the 5th of December. The last day of Sinterklaas, it is tradition to exchange these types of presents in the evening, making the shopping hours on December 5th one of the busiest in the year for toy stores.

Just another reason why i hate the holidays and why i say the human race is doomed. At this rate i think the end is going to be sooner then 2012.

Ho sad
I hope those kids who wanted Transformers for christmas get the them. Why would any one in their right mind want to rob a toy store just for Transformers? Like I said that's just sad.

Alright...anyone know what Sinterklaas is?
And who says the world will end in 2012? And by what means? I'm confused...the world was supposed to end on 1/1/2000 too...

As for the world ending, according to the ancient Mayan Calandar the world will end on december 21st 2012. The fact that the calandar did predict the first and second world war and the gulf war within a 10 year margin, some people who believe in the calendar fear the worst.

Sinterklaas is a 5 day Children's holiday on which the Christmas holiday is based. Instead of Santa Clause, Sinterklaas is a very old holy figure. Instead of elves there are Black Pete's. Instead of hanging your stocking you set your shoes at the fire place. Between December 1st and 4th, Black Pete will fill your shoe with candy. On December 5th the big gifts are exchanged.First-Aid wrote:Alright...anyone know what Sinterklaas is?![]()

thing is: I'm Belgian
And this doesnt surprise me.....toychamp is one of the few chains of stores witch actually stock transformers in reasonable quantities, and given that transformers (and toys in general) are rediculesly overpriced here (to give you an idea a deluxe is around 15-20 euro's here, with is about 19-25 US dollars)
They actualy have enough value to become something worth the risk of stealing in large quantities....
sad that this happens the day before Sinterklaas ,with is the most important day of the year for most kids
