BotCon 2012 Boxart

Epic!

Though, it looks a little familiar, but I'm not 100% sure.

The art looks nice, though the character placing seems kind of weird - should Metalhawk and Overlord be on the opposite sides?

Now if we can just persuade Hasbro into making a blue version of SG Soundwave...

...Not sure how that has to do with the boxart, so I'm just going to switch gears.

Ah, I see that Metalhawk and 'Gigatron' maintain their proper allegiances. Personally, I'm not too fond of the continuing adventures of the Shattered Glass peeps.

What they did was put all Autobots on the left and all Decepticons on the right. I'm guessing that the SG versions are gonna be teaming up with the wrong sides at first to get the two good factions to kill each other, leaving both evil factions to reign supreme 9and then double cross each other later).

The box art sure looks better than the figures in the box! But I don't care, I'm going and it will be mine!

Anyone else see the "$" in "TIMELINE$"? Or is it just me?

As much as I like SG... eh, the box is okay. Maybe my standards are too high, but I was kind of expecting something a bit more, well, epic. This has totally got me psyched for the comic though

I think the designer was going for the bots on the left, and cons on the right. The only problem is that they're shattered glass. Which means Metalhawk and Overlord should switch places .

Is that regular Tracks in the background? And who under SG Tracks' foot?

Yeah, he does look a little stressed. Some nice lubricant to keep things running smoothly and a visit to 4chan for information/help should do him wonders.

I think the "Invasion" on the boxart confirms that this set was originally intended for 2011, not 2012.

In 2010, they launched the BotCon 2011 site and had a teaser that said "The Invasion has begun!"
