Thanks to Seibertronian Sabrblade for alerting us to this second part of the manga for the upcoming Dark Amber Leo Prime figure, due for release in January of next year.

A second comic for Dark Amber Leo Prime, part of the "End of G1 Universe" series, has been posted to TakaraTomy's website. TFWiki member Star Spangled Sam has translated it into English, and MrRald has lettered the comic with Sam's translation.

It is the second part of a two-part story, so if you haven't seen the first comic yet, check it out here first.

Technically, he both is and isn't Unicron. He's something new, born of both Unicron's power and Lio Convoy's body/soul.

Right, the way it was shown in part one, and to some degree here, is that lio convoys mind has some control over unicron's spark. Similar to how unicron controlled galvatron by causing him pain, only here they are in the same body. It is imho a novel take on the whole nemesis prime concept, let alone a neat idea for an anti-hero.

edit: also gotta say I love seeing one of the old beast wars micro playsets getting some love here. I still have that killer whale somewhere.

That was how it was in the Marvel comics. But Japan goes by the cartoon origin for Unicron, in that he was just a giant evil robot built by Primacron instead.

The "Primus vs. Unicron" backstory didn't come about in the comics until 1988, two years after the G1 cartoon's origin for Unicron in the 1986 episode "Call of the Primitives". Cartoon Unicron was never a god, while Comics Unicron was.

Man, I would kill for a Bluebolt figure. Those colors would look great on the actual figure, and that mold deserves a few more uses.

Yes! I’m glad I’m not the only one, and a Bluebolt would probably be more in my price range than Dark Leo. On the same note, I wouldn’t mind an Untite figure as well. The Transmetal II Megatron we have coming gives me some hope that we’ll maybe see some more Transmetal rep.
