Galvatron II unlike most eHOBBY versions of Takaras G1 reissues is not a repaint but instead the original 1986 deco whilst the Takara release was repainted to better represent the Galvatron of the G1 Cartoon Series and Movie. The backstory given to this toy is that of the G1 Marvel comics where an alternate future version of Galvatron was pucked from his own time and place to do Unicrons bidding. Unlike in the G1 cartoons and movie the Marvel comic book Galvatron appeared in the original toy colours.
