Yesterday, we found images of the new Ultra Magnus and Skywarp coming out as part of the Generations Legion class. However, the initial listings (listing them as imports and including no images) included a listing for Cliffjumper.

We finally have a picture of this toy as well, thanks to fellow Seibertronian Fuhzimota who also found him at Fred's, along with his other wavemates. Once again, this toy is not be be confused with Generations Legends Cliffjumper.

Here is the description of his finding

Cliffjumper, Ultra Magnus and Skywarp on the cheap!!! At Fred's in Columbia, MS found these listed for $3.65, they rung up at $3.00  Noticed differences in the paint apps versus the card backs; Skywarp's purple details are much darker- almost black, and Magnus' teeny tires are white; I think they actually look better...

Man I'd love to get a set of these for the Seibertron.com galleries! No Fred's up here in Chicago unfortunately.

If the past waves are any indication, they should be hitting general European retail in a month or two. I'm keeping my eyes peeled.

The Fred's in my area actually closed down a few months ago. Maybe we will see these at the other Market Six stores soon.

Ya. I'm thinking Big Lots and Dollar General for sure.

That tampographed Autobot symbol on Cliffjumer is "Ginormous!" We get it, Cliff, everyone is a potential traitor except for you. ;)

I like the Takara Tomy version of Henkei Cliffjumper a lot more. The Autobot symbol is still a slightly bigger than that of Universe 2008 Bumblebee, but it's a much closer match, plus I like the screen accurate gray arms and legs as opposed to black. Ultra Magnus is still tempting as an alternative for Minimus Ambus for the upcoming CW Leader version. I want to get a legion Skywarp to complete the seeker trio at that scale...but that purple is looking way too dark. I might go for the Takara Tomy "EZ Collection" version instead.

Cliffjumper = better then the henkei
Ultra Magnus = whatever
Skywarp, after seeing "combiner wars legend or w/e" Thundercracker.. to quote Ricky from trailer park boys "This is ****** man.."
super massive "D'N'B" style edits. The US version of Thundercracker from the second legends starscream, and acidstorm, was so badly painted I wanted to return it, horrible. the original universe legend mold was painted/ colored 1000000000x better..
combiner wars legends if not a unique mold, will be half arsed. (tho black jack, I looked at 8 copies before I found a "good one"..)

Why cliffjumper is better than takara's version? I see esactly the same, gray wheels, and colors... I have takara's version on hands

I will probably have to get these online since there's no discount stores in my area

I've thought of this as well. Wings aside Doublecross is almost perfect. For Twinstrike you could always go with RID Bruticus. Sure you're downgrading him from Cerberus to Orthrus, but that didn't stop them from making Strafe.

Cliffjumper's backer card art is interesting, I'm pretty sure it's the first time we've seen it. It's Legends Bumblebee's art made up as CJ, but given painted on windows similar to Cyber Battalion Bee's transformation. What's really bizarre is CJ already has perfectly fine updated art from his Legends figure. All I can think of is that they wanted something a little less current IDW and something more gritty.

I don't know where the Ultra Magnus art comes from, but doesn't it look an awful lot like the art used on Universe packaging? Probably the same artist, but if it isn't new art then I wonder if it was intended for a figure that didn't get produced?

These are lame. Two of them were released years ago and this line is long dead. The new legends line is vastly superior, and we already have two of these. And I am sure UM will be created at some time or another using the Prime mold.

But at a 3rd of the price here (€5-€6 compared to €15-€16), getting Legion instead of Legends is a no-brainer. Besides, we never got Generations here at all.

True, but didn't we already get a RiD Bruticus homage in Lazerback? Guess it's worth repeating

Meh, I'll never see these in store. Especially at that price.

Speaking of prices, in Canada, legion figures went from 5-6$ to 8-9$! That's almost a 50% price ike! That's quite brutal. I love the little guys for my Cyberverse Battles and I used to buy many on impulse. Now, I must be very selective.
Sigh...

Hey kanrabat, where would we see these if they were around? I know we got the RTS ones at mass retail but would tiger giant or rossy be a market for the ones that show up at drugstores in the states? Or would they maybe show up in the bin at the back of l'entrepot de jouet? (speaking of which, have you been there lately. let me know in a PM if thats the case).

There's some odds that l'Entrpôt would have them. It's still pretty random though. I havent checked in a long time.
There is no Giant Tiger at Laval, but there is some at Montreal and they may carry them at some point. It was the only place I could find the repaints of the Cybertron Scout beasts. Winners is also completely random and they might have them too. Finally, forget about Rossy. That shitty place sell toys with a 50% markup from TrU's already high prices!

One thing that piss me off is now that Target is gone, their nice exclusives will only be available via scalpers. :BANG_HEAD:

Even if now having to pay for shipping suck, it's nice that you're willing to help out!
And I'm always the kind to return the favor somehow.

Now, to see what nice things Target USA will come up with.

I feel like Family Dollar or Dollar General or Ollie's will have these eventually.

I also love the outrage posts about how much these are just the worst things. Folks, these are market-six material through and through, with probably very little thought given to the details, as they're made to be sold at the cheapest possible price points to folks walking through with their kids that want something on impulse.

I'm just glad it's not the 18th repack of the RtS Prime, BB, and Starscream!

Technically speaking it is, as it is those molds that are being released. Yes they've been repainted to represent other characters, but the molds are whst the are.

Repack and Repaint mean different things :)

Repack: The exact same toy with no variation from another release, just in a new package.

Repaint: The toys in question.

So they used the revised moulds but left out the new weapons - that is a pity.

It's nice to have an easier to get Cliffjumper though I guess.

It's a shame that Hasbro would be unlikely to reissue Cosmos in the Blue colour.

I can so often see some re-paint potential still in the moulds we got such a Black Warpath for example.

Did these things ever show up in Europe or even in more American stores - they barely get mentioned.

RAR, I saw you asked about these guys in the CW thread. I am in the Midwest, and I have only found them at Family Dollar. They were first sighted at a store in the South, but I can't remember the name, (Frank's?!) because the chain doesn't exist in my zone. If you are in the US, I hope I helped.
They are great little toys!

Yes I saw the initial sightings I noticed recently they'd come out in Australia now too - so I guess I was curious if that was a sign of them slowly becoming more available or not in the USA - and if they'd also shown up some more places internationally or not.

Considering the Takara Legion/EZ Skywarp isn't that easy to find another chance to get one is appreciated for those who want to have the full set of little seekers..

That the white Magnus is based reasonably closely on the old Classics 2 pack (where he was sold with Skywarp) is a pleasant irony too.
