Furman on the ROTF Comic Adaptation

Posted by i_amtrunks May 20, 2009 at 6:35pm CDT 13,692 views
Transformers scribe Simon Furman has updated his blog with an update concerning his work on the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen comic adaptation. Furman discusses his work on what was his first adaptation from a movie script, and the challenges he faced.

"This was my first stab at turning a movie script into a comic book, so I'm eager to hear what people think. It was actually more of a challenge than I thought it would be, as so much has to be condensed, refined, shuffled or realigned to make it work as a cohesive, coherent panel-to-panel comic book."

The first issue of the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie adaptation from IDW Publishing is due out this week (20th May for the US, 21st May elsewhere), with subsequent issues due each week, until June 14th 2009.

Heh.. Whoops. Target already put the trade paperback of the adaptation on the shelves.

I so bought it. I hold knowledge no man is yet ready for.
