On this Microphone Monday, I interview the incredibly talented, amazing and down-to-Earth Garry Chalk - voice of Optimus Primal, Optimus Prime in Transformers Armada, Energon and Cybertron, Sky Marshall Wade in Voltron Force, Slash in Reboot and countless other characters in cartoons such as Exosquad, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man, He-Man and The Masters of the Universe, GI JOE and many others. He has also portrayed dozens of characters ON-camera in movies and TV shows like The Fly II and Stargate SG-1.

What a great, in-depth interview! I also thought the advice for aspiring voice actors was practical — and kindly delivered. (Considering that can often be a groaner when asked at conventions, especially when the question is delivered in a Waspinator voice.)
Very interesting stories and behind-the-scenes. Bravo to Jon3.0... and many thanks to Mr. Chalk for taking the time!

Thanks! Because I have just as many aspiring voice actors watching Microphone Mondays, I try to balance the interviews well between fan questions and questions about the VO industry.
Future interviews will include David Kaye, Paul Eiding, Hal Rayle, Steve Blum and Lee Tockar!
Stay tuned!
