I'm confused. Looks pretty accurate to me:

Or are you saying the Hasbro version:

In which case, yes.
I just noticed he has his Headmaster stats inside the cockpit. Totally awesome.

Also, darn it, now I need G1 Brainstorm.

It's too simplistic, a class too big and i really hate those wings.
I also think they could have done a better job with the headmaster gimmick.

Yes, because a figure representing her weird relationship with Dan Witwicky totally wouldn't be creepy.

Eh, why not? She will be able to go around giving heads.

Thank you, thank you! Don't forget to tip your waiter.

Yeah... It actually does sound really absurd and quite creepy, now that I think about it. A spandex-clad 12-year-old wears a suit of robot armor and is psychically linked to his two-story-tall alien robot mom?

True, but what sets this apart is the replacement of Flanker aka Sky High with Phaser.

daww, that headmaster's adorable; looks like he wants to be somebody's friend.

I definitely prefer the Hasbro Tailgate, though.

SW's SilverHammer wrote:Also I think that when the headmaster's plugged in, it pushes down a little panel in the cockpit that shows the headmaster techspecs readout sticker; which to be fair is a little simplistic compared to the tumbler system in the G1 toys. But hey, IDW brainstorm, that alone makes it worthwile for me
It is actually similar to the system used for the smaller Headmasters: Hosehead, Nightbeat, Siren, Fangry, Horri-Bull and Squeezeplay: they all used a single tumbler due to size limitations.

It looks like there's just a spring and a clip on the techspec panel

Same principle, no? One single panel or tumbler for all 3 specs.

No i'm not denying that, I was just commenting it's a springy panel. until now I thought the tech specs were the details in the cockpit, like in place of the controls, not a panel that goes over it when the headmaster's plugged in

He looks like he wants a hug. My hype levels for Brainstorm just increased even more!

Still, that new and simpler system on Brainstorm is a nice hommage without creating a costly gimmick.

The Takara Jetfire looks sharp and won't be a crumbling mess in 20 years. I'd prefer no chrome and more paint apps I think

I know! I took one look at the Hasbro one at the store then went home and pre-ordered the Takara one. NOT going to deal with another BM Jetstorm fiasco. I can wait til December for it to arrive.

What is the aftermarket price for Generations Cosmos?

25 to 30 on ebay, it was about 50 on amazon last time I looked.

The chrome can be removed from Hasbro Jetfire. There's red plastic underneath.Cobalt Prime wrote:welcometothedarksyde wrote:Arcee is his great aunt![]()

I don't really have much of an attachment to Windblade, so I don't feel the need to spend more money on her.

My point is that it probably will be removed eventually, time will take care of that

Chrome flaking and Gold Plastic Syndrome are two entirely different things.

Right. That's what I was asking. Were people afraid that the chrome was the entire mold, or just the flaking. Sorry if I wasn't clear in that.

Just the flaking. Don't get me wrong, structure-wise the plastic is fine, but the mere sight of chrome cracking and flaking... Besides, chrome has to be in a location that makes sense, not in random places like most of the Henkei line.
