iGear Opens Up Preorder For MGT-06 Nightbird

I-Gear has published the pre-order page for the latest product they will be distributing: MGT-06 Night-Bird. As the title says it's based on Nightbird, the one-off female Ninja robot that showed up in the G1 Season 2 episode "Enter the Nightbird".
As the title suggests this is designed and produced by the same person/people behind the MGT-01 Arcee figure.
You can preorder Nightbird for $99 which includes free shipping, somewhat of a new trend i-Gear has going on with their newer releases. You can click the following image to get to the pre-order page.

Over $100 for a non transforming figure!? No thank you. I'll just let Impossible Toys handle giving me a Nightbird for bad romance fanfic scenarios with Megatron.

I like it, but WOW is that pricey!

I have the ImpossibleToys Nightbird, which is pretty weak, but is also 1/3 the price.

Seriously, why are these guys still in business?

For less than that I can buy Warcry and Flameblast and get more enjoyment out of them.

I like it. But what Im seeing here is 40 bucks. Not 100. Although this is the most accurate version yet, I-Gear came a little to late. I already got the other 2 versions. Now if they wanna release the Sharkticons, Alicons, or Alpha Trion, I drop some money their way.

Yeah, I can understand $100 for a custom transforming figure... but not for a custom "GI Joe" figure. I wish the price were considerably lower, because I love the sculpt.

Whatever happened to the other MGT figures? -01 was Arcee, -02 was going to be Firestar, but that hasn't been seen since the lynch mob that formed after her prototype was revealed.

I would've paid money for those. Pass on this though. Big time.

Most of their stuff costs north of $100. They don't have to sell many to get their investment back.

It was a prototype, so I can forgive the face (for now), but the whole fig needed to be reworked from what I remember. It was a horrible-looking backpack-former from what I recall.

Considering the G1 design I could live with the backpack. But not the candle head. I hope some of this time was spent working on that because it would be cool to have some more fembots. Although ... at $150 a pop (including shipping here), I dunno if I'll bite.

Out of desperation for a Classics Arcee and major disappointment with the news of "Generations" Arcee being Prime Arcee, I ordered iGear Arcee. It's a really nice looking figure, but honestly not at all "worth" the money. So $100 for a non-transforming figure...not a chance. They really need to up their game big time to be charging these prices for deluxe figs.

It was a prototype, so I can forgive the face (for now), but the whole fig needed to be reworked from what I remember. It was a horrible-looking backpack-former from what I recall.

I find it hard to believe the same company that made the Arcee put together the head sculpt on that Firestar. I'm not quite buying that one yet..

I'm surprised that no other characters in other versions of TG used the name Nighbird.
