Looks like a slightly modified Warpath mold.

Man, if iGear can keep all these promises the Golden Age of Transformers is truly upon us.

That is cool but I no idea who presser is. I hope the figure is classics scale and not MP.

That's exactly what I thought. Oh well, it's a pass anyway because I can never afford iGear products.

AS the article says it is 'Not Impactor' of Wreckers fame. Star of Last Stand of the Wreckers comics, made famous originally for appearances in Marvel's UK TF series.

This Impactor looks very impressive. Here's hoping I can fit him in my budget. I would love to start completing my set of Wreckers.

Will definitely, 100% buying THIS guy!! Absolutely love him. Just WOW!

Definitely has similarities to Warpath, but also different enough. Kudos. I'm hoping he will be about their Ironhide size. I'd like my not-Impactor to be a voyager.

Certainly saves me the trouble of having to repaint Warpath into a Classics Impactor. Oh, wait, that's right - I'd have to be able to find a Warpath first . . . Hasbro. :-x

Well, with no generations figure reveals at Botcon, looks like all my money is going 3rd party, just like you PE!

We need some size comparisons, but this could be a real oppertunity for iGear to get neck and neck with FP, if they price things right, and depending if this is through them or through BBTS.

So as we all kinda noticed, iGear looks to be taking some cues Gen Warpath. Honestly, I was thinking that they were going to copy the Transformers's Captain America crossover mold but they didn't. But it does make me wonder what's up for future releases, especially with their Wrecker's wanted lineup. (which you can see on their FB page)

I'm thinking that we will still get "tweeked" versions of that Capt mold, but now I'm thinking that they may do Ironfist from that mold...and I'm ok with that.

This is great, sure it looks a lot like Warpath, but it looks more like it uses his transformation instead of being a modification of the mold. I like it a lot, but kinda hate his feet.

I am in the same boat. It looks like FP and iGear will control my funds that last quarter of 2011 and into 2012.

I can see where you are coming from but I hope they leave that mold alone. It's just a little too Bulky for what I picture Ironfist looking. Regardless, if it looks half as good as Impactor, I'm sold. :ic$: I also hope iGear incorporates different classes into these figures. I'd love to see Pyro voyager size and Guzzle turn out to be a scout class figure.

EDIT: The head on the photoshopped pictures looks to be different than the prototype head mold. Will we be getting different head/face varients with all of iGears figures??

I must have him! :x I am so so glad I gear is taking on the wreckers since it seems like Hasbro never will. I hope they are going to do the same with the other Wrecker heads we saw earlier. I wonder how much he will go for, hopefully he won't be too bad. Guess I need to start saving an maybe get a job lol. At least that will be easy to do since Hasbro has been pretty boring lately ;)

I'd say best case scenario: $60
worst case scenario: $90

I agree. That's a choice we do not get with our figures often.

Now I know everyone here is loving the Wrecker flow right now but I'm wondering: Is there an Overlord coming? iGear seems to be heavy on the Last Stand characters (not complainin') but will we be getting a new figure of the big bad himself?

I'm hoping!

Hasbro's been going that route with Joes of late, they need to transfer that to TFs stat.

If they can do a proper Overlord I would be extremely happy, although theyb seem to be focussing on Autobots at the moment.

Given Overlord's size... that would be one of those waiting 5-years-for-a-$500-Devastator projects... though it would be awesome. I'd love to see one about the size of T--I--D--A--L W--AAAA--V--E.
Re: iGear Presser (aka Impactor) Revealed (1235652)
Posted by WarGraver on June 7th, 2011 @ 2:19pm CDT
Presser is nice and all, but it's tiny little harpoon looks silly. I know that's accurate to Impactor, but maybe this was an area where accuracy wasn't best.

Regardless, he isn't within the categories I collect. If they make a Springer, well, that I would probably snap up, having missed FP's.
Re: iGear Presser (aka Impactor) Revealed (1235660)
Posted by gothsaurus on June 7th, 2011 @ 2:36pm CDT
Yeah, that Springer (and the Blast Off/Swindle bots) set the curve. Hoping it continues from FansProject and iGear.

Actually..... Hoping the quality, detail, accessories, nods-to-the-fans and lore... all give Hasbro some real ideas what we're interested in.

I'd easily lay down $200 for a size accurate Overlord.

Yeah $200 would be about my max on that. Anymore that that and it's a deal breaker for sure. If Hasbro is serious about their $100 ceiling on these iGear may break it up into the aerial and ground units and they'd combine. The price is the main reason I'm passing on Project Deva.

Yeah, based on their pricing on previous projects, I wouldn't see under $100. Maybe $120-$130 and the size of their mini-masterpiece Prime. I'd be ok with that.

Unless they're charging like $30, don't think these borrowed molds are really worth it. Hopefully they're all copied figs so I can feel better about just skipping them and saving some money for a change.
Re: iGear Presser (aka Impactor) Revealed (1235725)
Posted by gothsaurus on June 7th, 2011 @ 4:21pm CDT
Yeah, I'd love to see iGear work on their pricing somehow. They'd sell more figures, which would help them pay for their design costs, etc. Right now they're straddling that line where the price is prohibitive to many, many fans.

While I can see a giant figure costing $200, I certainly can't see these deluxe figures costing anywhere near that much. They're competing with Hasbro carded figures around $10... and FansProject at around $50. I hope they can shoot for somewhere close to that.

FansProject is making scout size figures. Their small voyager/large deluxe, Warbot, was $90 when it was released. I'm not defending iGears prices as I would like to see them drop, but they are pretty close to ballpark in reality. Unfortunately for them though, so far their quality has backed up the prices they pin up like FansProjects has.
Re: iGear Presser (aka Impactor) Revealed (1235732)
Posted by gothsaurus on June 7th, 2011 @ 4:49pm CDT
Yeah, supposing between $50 and $90 is a fair price. (ie. deluxe size is between scout and voyager) I wouldn't feel bad paying that...

But yeah, mostly was just jumping in to say $200 wasn't fair for the deluxes... :D

Oh no no. I was saying they I'd pay that price for an Overlord figure that was Mini MP Prime size.

Apart from the tank tracks on the back of the forearms and the fact that he is a tank, I really don't see the comparison to Warpath. Still looks shit hot though.
Re: iGear Presser (aka Impactor) Revealed (1235762)

Yeah, I didn't see the resemblance until I looked at the feet. I think this is a kind-of re-skin like they did with Inferno/Grapple. Head sculpt and surfaces change, but transformation remains the same.

Third party and KO toy producer iGear have updated their Facebook profile with new images regarding their upcoming Wreckers figures. It looks like iGear are fans of LAst Stand of The Wreckers, because, well just look at the following image showing their upcoming projects:
Image
Yes we've seen most of them before, but this does show us that they are planing something for Perceptor, Springer Twin Twist and Topspin. Also that Impactor, or Presser, is in fact the next figure to be released since Kup has already been done in form of their Kup 01 head.

Also they have new images of their upcoming Presser, or Impactor, figure:
