I really hope they lay off the gimicks in the new line. Launching missiles is cool, and automorph wasnt awful, but sometimes it kill the figure, like payloads grab claw.

I was just gonna say this. The gray and blue color scheme seems to correspond to the first, satellite version of him (though apparently darker), and while we've been TOLD he'd be a pickup truck, that could have merely been disinformation and misdiretion. This mode, while admittedly blurry, would work well, IMHO... especially if the back of this van-esque vehicle could contain his various "minions."

I’m pretty sure that’s not movie Payload. If it is, they've done extensive retooling on it.
I wouldn’t mind an Payload repaint though, he was one of my favorites from the movie line.

no way soundwave really is truck after all ( sorry couldnt resist ).
its simaler to payload but not an exact replica of him looks like funny looking garbage truck never seen garbage truck with front end like that kinda looks like decepticon logo is on the hood.

I think it looks like an armored truck, but I have never seen one with three axles (six wheels). Hmmm.
I agree with the Soundwave crowd. That was what first jumped into my mind. The coloring was what first made me think Soundwave, and then the fact that we have already seen a non-earth mode Soundwave supported my conclusion. Plus this truck, unlike a Chevy pickup, is of a similar scale to a satellite.

I AGREE IT LOOKS LIKE PAYLOAD. BUT I GOT A BETTER QUESTION: WHY EVERYTIME AN UNOFFICIAL IMAGE COMES OUT IS IT SO BLURRY ??? EVEN THE CHEAPEST CAMERA PHONES TAKE CLEAR CRISPY PICTURES THESE DAYS. UNLESS OF COURSE THIS IS PART OF A BIGGER PICTURE THAT WAS ENLARGED LIKE 20 TIMES LIKE SECURITY CAMERAS DO. WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE MORE...

Its not the payload that we've seen but maybe they decided to use him in the movie and made some changes. From the look I say Decepticon.

EXACTLY! I mean, look at it. It's some sort of truck with a big tralier-like thing on its back and over its top. Not the mention the orange & yellow designs on its side that looks like fire!
I'm thinking this is some wannabe Rodimus Prime design.

Rodimus springs to mind when looking at this pic as well. Specially with the fire on the side. However there is some sort of mark on the bonnet, could be anything but it kinda looks like a con symbol to me.
Anyway it looks kinda bland... I assume/hope it will get more paint apps before it is finished.

That's clearly Soundwave for my trained and very expert eyes.
On the other hand, my n00b eyes say it's Rodimus Prime Daltonics Edition.

That's actually a TF Scout Class once again. And saying it's Soundwave is clueless, Soundwave's alt is completely different from that. Even if it's his earth mode, the truck is too small.
These are the new pics that have shown up from TF08.net which proves what I've said.
(And what's with everyone's bad guesses as to what it is? Sure the naming is okay but actually guessing it's a remolded Movie Payload etc? That's ridiculous. Other than repaints, Hasbro isn't likely to recycle stuff and whip it out.
The only thing returning to the movie line will probably be the Movie screen bots and cons. Other than that, everything else will be original.)
