These are not the Encore toy. These are the old (and yellowed) Hasbro versions with a 3rd party sword.Va'al wrote:

I know the original sword was a partial remold of the G1 Jap Fort/Grand Max sword with a different hilt. It looks like the hilt designed for the Fort/Grand/brave Max (G1) is included with this set so I wonder if the hilt is able to be swapped now to use the sword on both figures.

Alfes2010 has updated their twitter with images of the Encore God Fore Convoy set.
As you can see from these imags, the colours are different. The colours are bold and the chrome has been removed.
The recordings featured in this toy is all new. These are from the original voice cast, Satoshi Hashimoto (Fire Convoy) and Takashi Matsuyama (God Magnus). There are far more sounds in this release than the previous one, over 40. New battle sounds will be activated as the robot is combined. For more info on the sound clips, you can click here.
Alfes states that, as with the original, the upper body heavy, especially with the battery inserted. Regarding, the Super God Sword, Alfes states the handle part becomes is made of harder material, and the disassembly & assembly is very easy to do. It being such a huge sword is really helpful for poses (so they say).

God Magnus never had
on the sides, nor did Fire Convoy: they were added for the RiD Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus releases. In fact, the most common difference between Car Robot and RiD toys is just that.

Was the original Fire Convoy really that... yellow? Possible sun bleaching aside...
I'm even one of the rare people who loves chrome, so I was pretty let down to see the shiny loveliness removed for this reissue. But seeing the finished product... it looks damn good. It's more uniform, polished even. And Prime and Magnus have strikingly yellow eyes, so handsome. I'm pretty psyched for this now.
