I'm going to have to track down that Arcee. Really dig it, but don't care for the lipstick. Nothing a little silver paint can't fix though.
Vertebreak looks better than his Fruity Pebbles mold mate, but still not a fan of that mold.

Vertebreak looks alright, i'd buy him if there was nothing else and it was like a 10er. However, whoever painted arcee really botched that up really really bad. The mold's not bad, but it's like they painted with a really big brush XD

Vertebreak looks good to me and it's due to the colour and pattern choices for the repaint. I couldn't get past Lazerback's colour scheme but as Vertebreak, I'm putting it on my buy list.
I like BH Arcee as well, though as already noted by others, the paint job is questionable, especially the lip stick.

I hope Takara does a better job with Arcee. I loved the RID Arcee mold and the Beast Hunters retool looks good, but the color choices are lacking. I wonder how the Beast Hunters head would look on the RID body though

It's hilarious how many people think the lipstick is an official paint app even after being shown a photograph without the lipstick.
Both of these look very ugly and I wouldn't touch them with mile-long poles.

To be fair though, it's not like some of the official paint apps on that figure are much better.

I'm not sure how I feel about the touchups done on Arcee mid-gallery, there. 
The remold looks pretty good, and the colors are a good deal less bland than I had feared, but the face sculpt...it just looks weird somehow. I think I would have preferred a smirk than...whatever expression that's supposed to be.

One thing's for certain: lipstick does not do Arcee justice. 
I kinda like how they homaged Energon Arcee by including a bow of similar dimensions to Energon Arcee's bow.
Vertebreak, although he has a diabolically awesome name, still doesn't do the Laserback mold justice. It just doesn't look good to me.
Overall, this wave just doesn't interest me, much like the majority of the Beast Hunters line.

I might have to get Arcee eventually just for that bow. It looks really cool. Vertebreak looks awesome, too. And Croc Out, though not pictured, is a must buy.

The base toy has blue lipstick. Apparently the person photographing these toys thought red would be a better colour. Either way, lip colouring of any sort doesn't look good on the toy.

There is lipstick paint on this mold. I was talking about the bluish tinted lipstick in the first two pics. Kind of has a corpse like vibe and is only slightly less gaudy than the pink ones, but like I said, nothing some silver paint can't fix.

That's some dodgy touch-up work. Arcee looks like she's been taking make-up tips from Harley Quinn.
Vertebreak looks good. I may get a couple of them to act as captains, but that's only if I find them cheap at retail.

That Lazerback repaint look better than the original. I may buy him if I find him for cheap. Will probably keep it sealed as a Beast Hunters example for my MOSC collection, while Laserback is loose, ready to be played with.

Much as I dislike these two color schemes, I have to say that's an amazingly well done paint job on the two heads. Looks like two completely different heads, but on close inspection it's just the paint apps. Whoe. Still gotta say the takara beasts look hands down 300% better. I'm almost considering buying them in spite of the nutty price.
