Hey Seibertronians -- remember those jaw-dropping reveals from Cybertron Con and Hasbro’s 1027 event? Well, it’s almost time to clear some shelf space, because the next wave of Transformers figures is rolling out this spring and it is stacked with fan-favorites, deep lore cuts, and Constructicon goodness!
Whether you're building your personal pantheon of Primes or just hyped to finally finish Devastator (with screen-accurate Scrapper, no less), this wave is pure fire.
Let’s break it down Prime-by-Prime, bot-by-bot.
TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF THE PRIMES DELUXE CLASS THE THIRTEEN SOLUS PRIME
(HASBRO | Ages 8+ | MSRP: $24.99 | Spring 2025)
Available at Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, Walmart, and other participating retailers.
She's the myth. The legend. The creator. Solus Prime forges her way into the Deluxe Class with a hammer that would make Mjolnir blush. Converts to a Cybertronian armored car in 28 satisfying steps and brings serious Prime energy to your display. Bonus points for finally adding more powerful women to your shelf.

TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF THE PRIMES LEADER CLASS THE THIRTEEN MEGATRONUS THE FALLEN
(HASBRO | Ages 8+ | MSRP: $54.99 | Spring 2025)
Available at Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, and other participating retailers.
This dude is pure chaos. Megatronus, a.k.a. The Fallen, is here in glorious Leader Class scale -- because when you’re the edgiest of the Thirteen, you don’t show up small. Converts into a tank (of course) in 38 steps and comes ready for battle with a requiem blaster, staff mace, and more accessories than most third-party upgrades. Dark lore? Check. Shelf presence? Double check.

TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF THE PRIMES VOYAGER CLASS THE THIRTEEN PRIMA PRIME
(HASBRO | Ages 8+ | MSRP: $34.99 | Spring 2025)
Available at Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, Walmart, and other participating retailers.
The original. The noble one. Prima Prime is rocking Voyager Class glory and comes with the Star Saber AND the Matrix of Leadership. That’s right -- he’s bringing the artifacts and the attitude. Converts into a Cybertronian truck in 20 steps and has that stoic leader energy you can feel through the packaging. Absolutely Prime-tier.

TRANSFORMERS STUDIO SERIES DELUXE CLASS TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE BONECRUSHER
(HASBRO | Ages 8+ | MSRP: $24.99 | Spring 2025)
Available at Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, Walmart, and other participating retailers.
Bonecrusher hates everything… except being screen-accurate! This guy’s finally getting his Deluxe Class due in Studio Series with full Transformers: The Movie vibes. Converts into a bulldozer in 16 steps and is your first Constructicon stepping stone to the long-awaited Devastator combo. He’s angry. He’s poseable. He’s perfect.

TRANSFORMERS STUDIO SERIES VOYAGER CLASS TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE CONSTRUCTICON SCRAPPER
(HASBRO | Ages 8+ | MSRP: $34.99 | Spring 2025)
Available at Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, Walmart, and other participating retailers.
The Devastator dream is alive and well, folks. Scrapper is finally joining the Studio Series team in Voyager Class size. Front-end loader alt mode? Check. Movie-style detail? You know it. Combine him with the rest of the crew (sold separately, obviously) to finish the ultimate movie Devastator. For fans who’ve waited years -- this one’s for you.

TRANSFORMERS STUDIO SERIES LEADER CLASS TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION OPTIMUS PRIME
(HASBRO | Ages 8+ | MSRP: $54.99 | Spring 2025)
Available at Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, and other participating retailers.
Knight mode engaged! This is the Age of Extinction version of Optimus Prime fans have been waiting for. Leader Class scale. Converts into a Western Star truck in 44 detailed steps. Comes with his signature sword and shield -- and even a swappable head! If you ever yelled “Give me your face” at your toys as a kid… well, he’s back and ready to rumble.

Final Thoughts, Seibertronians:
This isn’t just a wave -- it’s a full-on celebration of TRANSFORMERS across generations. Whether you're collecting the Primes, hunting down every Studio Series Constructicon, or just grabbing your favorite movie bots, this Spring is about to be lit. What are you most hyped for? Is Amazon because the email I got was a "If you still want this item, please confirm below" email and they gave me an entire month to decide if I wanted to wait or cancel.

Prima is much more interesting in hand than in photos, though his alt mode is pretty boring. But as a robot, he rules. I also love that he can actually draw the star saber from his back.
Red Alert is nice and dense, and I appreciate the updates they made so his alt mode is closed up in the back and his legs are better, though I feel some loss with the big gap in gimmicks.
Wasp is pretty neat, I like this mold, and in these colors it is really nice

Also, just like the Studio Series listings, there's a few open slots still:Once again, the grey spots are spots that aren't guaranteed to be a missing figure, since we do get waves with only 3 Deluxes from time to time, and this also isn't accounting for any potential triple Voyager waves like the current Sentinel-Ironhide-Scrapper wave since there's zero guarantee that'll actually happen again.
Till-all-R1 wrote:Finally be able to knock a big one off the list with I think leaving only Seaspray left.
We're supposed to be getting Seaspray this year as a Walmart exclusive in another wave of the same capsule as Retro Bee and Gears.Rodimus Prime wrote:Still no Seaspray

Yeah the Swindle thing is weird, since he was originally leaked as a Deluxe before getting pushed back to "a later wave" in favor of Vortex, and now his fellow leg is a Voyager....maybe the promotion from Deluxe to Voyager is why he got pushed back?Everyone wrote:Swindle?
The listing already says it's Prime CJ, so it's either a rerelease of the one from the Legacy 4-pack or possibly a Terrorcon repaint? I'm personally just hoping it's a straight rerelease.#1 Signal Lancer fan wrote:Similarly, the last G1 Cliffjumper was in 2022, so perhaps he could be Animated (using the Bumblebee mold) or even Energon
There were also 3 more Gobot-Minibot repaints that were only in the FunPub Timelines materials that we'll soon have all the molds for if they wanted to do another big multipack: Buggyman from Beachcomber, Rest-Q from Hubcap, and Man-O-War from Seaspray. Not gonna lie though, Viper is like the only thing I care about getting from any given Powerglide mold, Bad Boy's a skip for me if he ain't in a multipack.-Kanrabat- wrote:RiddlerJ wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:RiddlerJ wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:Finally, Powerglide! I wonder what his release in the E-Hobby "Gobots" colors would be?
Wouldn't it be this guy?
Yup.
But it would most likely be part of a 2 pack or a 3 pack, exclusive to Amazon or whatnot. I wonder who his box partner(s) would be?
They could do like the did with the Puffer/Road Ranger two pack, and give two versions of the same mold. Bad Boy and Viper.
Oh yeah, Viper. I can see that happening.
Posted by Emerje on April 8th, 2025 @ 4:31am CDT

I'm thinking the leg frames will be similar to the other two combiners and Swindle will just pop into the back in full Jeep mode and close a door leaving the tires exposed out the back (like a backwards Menasor leg), but Brawl will fill in the gap himself without a door since his turret needs to stick out the front.
Swindle will probably be the missing figure in wave 2 and I think we'll see Vortex return in wave 3. Maybe they can do a PR of Breakdown in wave 3, too since the design team keeps complaining about his scarcity but not actually doing anything about it.
Side note. Anyone else hoping the unlabeled Smokescreen is the TFPrime character? That'd open us to Aligned Prowl and Barricade as well.

Ah, I misread and thought 'Prime' referred to the 'Age of the Primes' line, rather than the series

It may be I own the original and like the other features including the lights and sounds and the firing gimmicks. Also, the tiny clamp missile is just asking to be lost.
I guess it's just not all that when you have the original.
If you don't now the original, and never interacted with it, then I guess he's a decent update.
I'd probably only buy it again if they gave us the Sam's Club 2-pack Prowl and Starscream.
and I'd likely only buy the set for Starscrheen in the maroon and gray.

To be fair, for the past 2-3 years Walmart has been insistent for some reason on revealing a percentage of their subline in March and then not showing the rest of it until it's basically on shelves already, so the fact that only those two have been shown yet doesn't mean the rest aren't coming. This same time last year we were still confused why we were supposedly getting two different Thundertrons and why all we'd seen of Road Pig was his arms.#1 Signal Lancer fan wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Walmart: Cybertron-themed capsule

Let me introduce a powerful yet humble member of the 13 primes, Alchemist Prime is ready to grace your shelf with his divine and handsome presence! Move over and make some room, this guy exudes clear the path vibes even though he’d probably be the most enjoyable of the primes to just hang out with.
.
Tomo san really flexed his creative muscles on the transformation sequence of the mighty McAdams. Not to mention this guys proportions are incredibly unique and a rarity amongst many TF toys.
.
All the more reason to pour yourself a chalice of energon and lets get into the deets. I utilized the main inspiration for this guy from the McAdams, hmm I mean @toygrind appearance in cyberverse. I sprinkled in the covenant unique Prime esk shape designs but all the while thinking of the comic bartender apperance. The mustache and head sculpt might be my favorite aspect but the colors hit hard in hand, not to mention the easter eggs riddled all over his awesome artifact The Lenses! Which we increased the scale and made them split to become daggers, the idea here is that he would be able to utilize his mystical powers of the elements to change the weapons into any heated metal or even iced out adamantium or whatever and wherever your imagination takes you.
.
I always imagined his vehicle mode to be somewhat of a cybertronian all terrain vehicle. You can extend out his feetsies to urilize the 5 mm ports for a lil high speed action.
.
What I wouldn’t give to sit at a cybertronian pub and drink an energon pint and listen to wonderful stories of early cybertron and Alchemists outlook on life. Lets here the modules tune in their optics to sound off the details they see in the Lenses down below”

“At last, Onyx Prime has decided to grace your presence with his divinne beast kingdom glory! All behold the Triptych Mask artifact that has unique powers and will be welded to defeat any who oppose him. It is my great pleasure to bring this prime to your Age of the Primes toy generations collection at none other than leader scale at that!
.
As always, huge shouts out to Shu san from Takara Tomy, my beast wars brethren who always turns it up on these out of the box characters.
.
I really seasoned this spicy character with all sorts of cooking love. Shout out to @ken_christiansen_art and @aaronarcherofficial for putting the early look of this dude together. I even got a lil love from @marcelomatere on how techno-organic should I go on his tail…which did I mention, I made it a cool bow and the mask has been upgraded to a wicked spear/arrow! Went wild beast mode on the sculpt, threw in eagle references, horse references, gargoyle references all sorts of spikes, horns, and angular cybertronian angles, WOOF ! Colors were a challenge but I feel I dialed in the tones enough to get that good contrast, the metallic hits hard in hand!
.
The multitude of abilites on this guy, phew…really just bewildered by this beast, lemme see if I can give ya the quick Marky shake down. The front hoofs in centaur mode can be cascaded around his beefy shoulders, you have a wide array of versatility in between centaur and beast mode, his head can be transformed into a more beasty look for centaur mode but can be left upward to showcase his wide array of optics in robot mode. His spear has many different places for all sorts of cool poses and storage, his wings have a great range of articulation which I tried to showcase here.
.
I’m just very proud that I could help bring these 13 primes to life. Alchemist Prime, pass me a cool glass of energon and lets talk over some tings!”

-The Deluxe Swindle from this year got shunted to next year, he is STILL a Deluxe in spite of Brawl's Voyager status (which does help Bruticus sneak into the designer's stated "complete combiner in a year" window)
-We are only missing a single Deluxe, a single Leader, and the Titan, no missing Voyagers
-Allegedly last JT saw, Vector Prime was stated to get "a new retailer exclusive variant", but this also directly contradicts Evan from the design team saying that all 13 Primes would get mainline releases within AotP's two-year span, unless there's gonna be two different back-to-back Vector Prime releases (and also somehow Vector is a Leader now in order to actually fit in either the mainline holes or this year's Cybertron capsule?)
So with that in mind, we're now here:
And here I am with no retail AotP sightings and only Solus in hand yet, that's some crazy early momentum.Emerje wrote:So Deluxe wave 2 has shown up at Canadian Walmarts... supposedly BBTS will have them available soon, too.

I'm guessing Vector Prime's Legacy release is the "mainline release", even though it's not within AotP's two-year span. Perhaps Evan was intending to communicate that all remaining 13 Primes would be released within the two-year span?
Regarding the remaining releases, I'm guessing that Liege Maximo is the leader (Though its possible that he's the titan)
Personally, I would hope for Animated Omega Supreme as the Titan, though Primus may be more fitting with it being both a 13-Primes themed line and the 20th anniversary of Transformers: Cybertron.

I experienced similarly with Leader Megatronus, and the Aerialbot deluxes. Pulse was saying I wouldn't see them until at least July. The minions stumbled across them on shelves two weeks ago. Having to cancel all those pre-orders, because Hasbro can't get their act together, would make me roll my eyes in their sockets if I had any soft tissue...
Posted by Till-all-R1 on April 14th, 2025 @ 10:50am CDT
But in a way that can't be good for Pulse in general if they keep getting cancelations as it might affect how much they order. Especially if they have to sell too much stock during their liquidation sales.

Till-all-R1 wrote:I consider preorders as simply safety nets anyway, to make sure I get it in case I never come across anything I'm after in stores
Yeah I always thought this was the idea behind pre-orders. You're ordering in advance to make sure you get it, not getting early access to it.
When you pre-order a video game, for example, you generally get it at the same time as everybody else, you're just ensuring that one is available for you/doesn't sell out.
It's just a win-win arrangement between the company and consumer. The company is guaranteed sales prior to release, and the consumer is guaranteed to get the product. Insurance on both ends.

While I'm still of the opinion that this new Superion will be better than my UW version, one thing that I'm surprised at is the missed opportunity with the front lower legs of the combined mode...
I'm not saying the blue paint apps were in the budget, or even how the red and black were distributed, but why those sections weren't designed/molded to match the cartoon model more closely... Both legs are identical. Both designs (which I know are representing the front of the torsos of the two leg bots) are symmetrical. How or why the cartoon design, or at least most of it, wasn't used is just baffling to me... Especially knowing that this new Superion is an attempt at cartoon accuracy. The designer(s) didn't need to invent anything new; even though the cartoon design in these areas maybe couldn't have been 100% replicated in toy-form, why not use the source material? They surely could have created something very, very close.
Then it's difficult to know if it would have been possible, but the two vertical black parts that run down each side of the forefoot... Really wish those could have been the same light gray color as the rest of the foot. That being broken-up just doesn't look good.

Simply for display space reasons, having six of these guys eats up a lot of room compared to the smaller ones. Not to mention having them all form Devestator, he's going to be ginormous compare to the G1 figure and I don't have very tall shelves in my cabinet. 13" height which is also why I passed on the Titans. I just barely fit Firestorm in there.
I was really looking forward to these guys too which kind of saddens me about this dilemma. I was already feeling the size realization with Air Raid that I received about a week ago and this revelation just added to that. I'm not saying that I didn't know they'd be larger, I expected them to be but it just wasn't a tangible thing I could see until now. If I do continue then I definitely cannot even consider other combiners in the future.
Onto the positive side, they do look good despite Bone Crusher appearing quite "chunky". I think I prefer the aesthetics on the Scrapper more in that regard, doesn't look as much like a burly hunk. And they green definitely stands out now on these more than it did on the originals. I don't know why or what it is that makes it seem that way, maybe the size combined with lighter color shade. At least with Scrapper the purple body helps break up that solid color. Air Raid too looks great.
Slingshot is reportedly on the way as is Megatronis which will pretty much bring me caught up with Preorders leaving only Solus Prime, and Hook/Long Haul.

And then Hasbro wonders why everyone is so upset when wave 3 of 2025 SS is nowhere to be seen because everything is AOTP wave 1 and A Level mixed up on all the pegs. They did not think this through. If fans can't tell the difference how are non-fans stocking shelves? As it is I had to take a peg's worth of Star Wars figures off the AOTP peg at Walmart the other day.

Prime and Bee are in solid cases of their own, that's why you're seeing so many of each of them. They're the 2025 A Level releases like TFOne Prime and SS86 Bumblebee last year. He's not huge, but he's massive and dense with no hollow parts. The transformation is smooth and he feel solid in all modes. The shoulder flames are not the most secure, but this may be the whole figure's only flaw. I'm looking forward to Onyx.
