Damn ... those feet. Even I might be tempted to go for a 3P add-on to cover up those itty bitty feeties.

That's interesting. The visible pin on Brawl's turret where it connects to the hinge-arm assembly is gone. Perhaps it really can spin after all.
Anyway, this looks great. The feet are far, far too small, but that's fine- I'll be buying some new feet for him anyway. If I can't find the Bruticus specific feet for a sensible price I'll cook some feet up on Shapeways. Speaking of which, I had an idea for making combiner feet do stuff outside of being feet without compromising the individual robots. Simply put, the foot itself would just be a foot (maybe with a toe joint?) with a ball-jointed 5mm peg ankle... however, each foot would come with a detachable 5mm-ported gun of some description that could plug onto the balljointed ankle peg, turning the foot into a gun emplacement.
I was thinking every combiner would have unique foot sculpts- so Superion would have what look like jet thrusters on his heels, Bruticus' feet would have treads on them, also allowing them to function as mini-tanks in gun emplacement mode, Menasor would have "rollerskate" feet, and Defensor's feet would be sculpted to look like they had pipes and water tanks on them, as if they were water cannons in turret mode.

I like the idea of specific feet but you could also do hands to match as well with detailing that matches the combiner...and weapons to match! Like a massive fire safety axe for defensor

Methinks you expect too much from a line that's half-built on cutting corners and constant mold re-usage.

Ah yes, I re-read it and see what you mean now (the new paragraph threw me a bit).
I think I need to check out what Shapeways things there are. It's 3D printed stuff ain't it? Fans making new parts and accessories where official figures are lacking?

More or less, yeah. There's loads of things people have made, including weapons, heads, and even a few full figures. I should warn you though; the cheapest material (White Strong Flexible) is fairly low-detail and can wear out with friction. WSF Polished is better in that regard, but you do lose a little bit of detail from the polishing process, and any joints may need thickening with super glue or floor polish. Frosted Ultra Detail and Frosted Extreme Detail have MUCH better detail on them (like, nearly injection molding-level detail) and are semi-translucent, but are also very, very fragile- it's some kind of resin and is fairly brittle, so I'd recommend only using it for heads or pieces that aren't load-bearing.
Our very own GlauG is an expert on 3D printing and Shapeways, so he's a better person to ask.

In spite of my misgivings I'll be placing my order later today...
Received DEFENSOR a few days ago, I like it but I reckon the teams based off the hotspot torso are those that would benefit the most from the ankle tilts. Oh well

Cool. I take it they come unpainted? So this cool gun for Prime doesn't come all awesomely coloured like in the first photo?
Am quite interested in these feet for Dino/Sideways/DeadEnd as I like that mold a lot except for the fiddly tiny feet that make it difficult to stand it up. So for feet that don't need tons of sharp details and just have to hold up the figure (that mold isn't very heavy) I should go with WSF polished?
Also keen on other generic weapons to arm my TF figures with. I wish Hasbro would release packs of assorted weapons. Perhaps with alternate handle pieces so they can fit in 5mm ports and hands or be switched out for smaller or larger handle sizes.

Why does Takara keep mistransforming Swindle? You don't need to pick the backpack up like you did with Rook

Eh, they designed the mold so that part wouldn't need moved. Doesn't look good that way to me. I like it the other way

Pretty sure we will see this, maybe at SDCC. But then again, everyone thought we would get a G2 Devastator and we got something completely random and uneccesary instead.
Agreed. Well, ankle tilt and bigger feet simply because that torso is the shorter than Superion.
The small feet work to the advantage of making them seem to be part of the limb component , like the animation model. But yes, they do seem small.
If you want a good price on nice feet, this cant be beaten: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product ... 85479.html

This set looks fantastic, but Bruticus needs a gun!
It better be a big one.

His original toy one was long and thin (don't pervify that). But he deserves a better gun and one besides those that attach to hi backpack.
Re the ankle tilts.. I dug up the info on Victorian info just to make sure I wasn't think of a 3rd party add on and yep, she'll have new feet. Also the chopper has new rocket less arms,,,
Would've appreciated that esp for blades. For vortex I'd have liked to see a remoulded tailpiece with a separate rotor and perhaps a better front gun placement. The rockets aren't awful as they approximate the g1's arm cannons. Yes I'm particularly attached to vortex.

Then don't bring it up the words long and thin are not perverted themselves it's only the context and use of the words.
Why would we pervify that in the first place whoever does that is immature.

Just curious, I'm just wondering if I am the only one. But what does the accessory next to the boombox in the lower right look like to you?
