One of the biggest problems with the Weaponizer Mini-Cons is that they can't decide which damn faction they oughta belong to. Lancelon is marketed as both
and
. There's another that has the seem deal as well, I just can't think of which it is.

To be fair, Mini-Cons kinda have the liberty to switch between factions in a fictional sense given their third party nature that allows them to side with whomever they choose to partner with.Nexus Knight wrote:One of the biggest problems with the Weaponizer Mini-Cons is that they can't decide which damn faction they oughta belong to. Not to mention in the actual show they are just aligning themselves with whoever will get them away from Starscream. And Starscream manages to possess and merge with all 7 of them, so they end up basically everywhere

Small correction concerning Lancelon: the mold is indeed that of the regular standard release, but the one that comes with Starscream is a completely different one. The standalone one is compatible with the Power Surge figures however.
And why do promotional figures have to be clear? They look too good!

I am digging that clear plastic. Here is to hoping there will be a US release. (Doubt it but we shall see)

Why sling a sword over your back when you can just stick it to your chest? That's gotta be way more convenient when you go into battle.
Seriously though, this just looks weird to me.

These kinds of limited edition Japanese store exclusives traditionally don't see U.S. releases.WreckerJack wrote:I am digging that clear plastic. Here is to hoping there will be a US release. (Doubt it but we shall see)

In fact, TakaraTomy released some of the US Mini-Cons that weren't in Japanese regular retail as giveaways, using Hasbro decos: Sawback, Beastbox, Velocirazor, Divebomb and Ratbat. The last two got redecos as single releases anyway.
Speaking of single releases, TakaraTomy must have a lot of problems integrating those into other sets or giveaways. Here are the ones who have yet to see release there:
- Swelter/Glacius
- Hammer
- Undertone
- Bashbreaker
- Lord Doomitron
- Weaponizer Slipstream

Anybody still wanting that runamuck and dogfight? Currently available for $70 online which is cheaper than the price BBTS was asking (which sold out instantly).

Eh, still too rich for my blood, especially since I only want Dogfight. Funnily enough, I only recently realised that even though the Viper head doesn't match his Marvel portrayal, it's really close to his original toy:

Transformers G1 1988 Dogfight Gallery
Wish they made Backstreet too, to complete the Triggerbot team with Override. Easy with the Rodimus head of the Runabout mold.

We covered the Japanese Toys'R'Us Exclusive Shining Lancelon, a Micron from the Takara Tomy Transformers Adventure line, here - but thanks to Seibertronian podcaster ScottyP we now also have confirmation that the exclusive will be carried by site sponsor Big Bad Toy Store! The orders should be fulfilled in January 2017, and below we have some reasons why this particular listing might interest those of you into Microns, mini-cons or the RID/TAV lines, from ScottyP directly:

These have not shown up on eBay, to my knowledge. I check daily.
Recent campaign Arms Microns have been difficult to find outside of these orders.
Said recent items sold out very quickly through BBTS (Ink, Sting, Burn, Rain)
It is a special version of an in-show character.
Lancelon has awesome knight armor. Do you? Nope.

Silently canceled? Interestingly, at the verge of Combiner Force.

And it isn't the first time in this series. Remember when they stopped doing Prime and cannibalized most of the Beast Hunters line for Transformers Go? I'm not saying we'll see Combiner Force stuff showing up under a new name, but cutting a show and line short is becoming a trend with them.

Takara has a history of pausing lines to focus on the movie line. I'm not saying Adventure is coming back, but I won't believe it's dead until they start doing toys for the next cartoon.

Yeah, we need to wait until TLK's done for Japan before seeing if Takara will bring back Adventure. After Prime of Micron ended, they still haven't gotten Season 3 yet.

What if Combiner Force gets rolled into Takara's version of POTP?

You mean putting those toys in the Legends line? That sounds very unlikely, especially if they were to resume airing the show in Japan.chuckdawg1999 wrote:What if Combiner Force gets rolled into Takara's version of POTP?
