Latest PS2 Transformers Game sequel in the works?

After it was already reported last February by the Dutch devision of Atari international at an official press conference in the city of Breda, Eurogamer now also reports that Atari has definite plans to make a sequel to the Atari PS2 Transformers game. In an article they refer to an interview they had with Melbourne House´s director and executive producer of the game, Andrew Carter. Here Carter can be quoted as saying "We are currently looking into what we want to put into a sequel to this game. We´ve got some ambitious ideas too because we really want to up the ante again on this one. It´s too early to talk about though."

Having played the game myself already (The Netherlands already had the game in stores since this past weekend), I can only imagine how much more better this game can possibly get, seeing as this truely is a great game to play, added with some amazing visual effects. Carter did mention in the interview that they would have liked to see a multiplayer in the game, which is lacking in the current game.
