In case this helps some UK fans out there, Transformers Legacy Wave 3 is out at UK retail. cynw32618 found them at Smyths. That includes the 4 deluxes and 2 voyagers (Armada Starscream and Beast Wars Inferno)

American fans will notice a Cosmos on the shelf just chilling and that's a common sight across Smyths stores in Europe since they received solid cases.

Yeesh, why did the UK get so dang MANY Cosmos figures, and the US got next to none? And why doesn't Hasbro just own up to their mistake, make MORE Cosmos figures, and give them to the areas that got stiffed?

For the same reasons that apply to every single toys ever produced. Crappy distributions and corporate shenanigans.

Still, some popular toys DO get reissued like Commander Jetfire and Skylinx. So we never know.

Walmart wanted one Cosmos per case because their toy people didn't think the green UFO would sell as much as the red bike, the black tow truck, or whatever Blurr is. The solid cases of Cosmos are evidently available to Walmart but they aren't buying them. For whatever reason, Europe is. Hasbro ships what people order.

Out of all the discounted Velocitron stuff Zavvi got for black friday they got zero Cosmos so he cant be that plentiful, even here. I've not seen any at Smyths in a looong while probbaly due to them all bought by people trying to fleece others on ebay.

Well, they were WRONG - as usual. There are tons of Road Rockets, Blurrs and Burn Outs languishing on shelves, and no Cosmos at all! Bah, curses, boo hiss and FIE!

The solid cases aren't available in the sense that they were made and Walmart didn't want them, but in the sense that if Walmart ordered them Hasbro would have made them. The Transformers team at Hasbro were surprised to find out the solid cases existed, they were only aware of the Walmart case mix, it's purely an international Hasbro thing.

I mean yeah if I was the one in charge I would've at least swapped Cosmos with Burnout re: 2 vs 1. I'm not gonna deny it's a weird decision by WM, but a lot of these decisions are made by people who see trends without being personally invested in all the brands they have to order for.

Good find!

I really like that sharp red on him, but honestly, going by previews, I think the original is still superior. The only thing this one has over that is the back folds down.

Oh hey that individual with the early copies of the RotB Airazors and Battletrap posted pics of Legacy Medix-wait, Legacy Medix?

...when they said that anything was on the table for Legacy I guess they weren't kidding. It's not quite the Crankcase retool I was hoping for (that would be Ironfist), but it looks good to me. Maybe Heatwave from Bulkhead next somehow please?

Interesting, a possible exclusive for the likes of Velocitron?

Nice enough repaint but an easy pass unless it's a multi pack with something I'd actually want.

So Tigerhawk, I can kind of see the logic. He was the counterpart to Dragon Megs in the TM2 line. But why Silverbolt? Surely not just pandering to the BA/Silverbolt crowd??

To stop new fans having to track down the original.

I guess so.

I never owned him, but I heard he was one of the better Fuzor figures.

He was brilliant, and it will be interesting to see what they do with him other than quality of life improvements like ankle tilts etc

I'll be more interested to see what they do with Mr All-White Tigerhawk. :-?

Silverbolt was always too small - even without considering the show, he had a deluxe-sized body and a basic-sized head. His parts didn't fasten too securely, his missiles didn't blend with his wings, and his backpack was awful.
