I can see the higher price for the SWTF figures cause they are reperoducing an existing ship and modifying it while adding a minimal amount of kibble.
But the Marvel TFs are new designs all the way around that look to be deluxe sized.
I'm calling profitering shinanigans!!!

I also call pricing profitering shinanigans, as I'm predicting right now that they'll be the same price over here in the UK. Which means, in essance, they'll be around twice as much as in the US.

I'm actually more happy with what the packaging said. It just said "Transformers: Crossovers", which leaves the door open for many possibilities not just marvel heroes...

I'm calling Royalty shenanigans.
Seriously. All the profit for a standard Transformer goes to Hasbro, but a large part of the profit for a Star Wars Transformer or Marvel Transformer has to go to Lucas or Marvel Comics respectively. And Hasbro's not going to let the cut come out of their pockets.
That's probably why Star Wars figures have traditionally cost more than GIJoes, even though they're the same size and manufactured by the same company.
And why comics (Star Wars, Transformers, Buffy/Angel, etc.) lisenced from another owner cost more than comics produced entirely in house (Spider-Man, Batman, etc.).

Always been a hardcore marvel/X-Men fan, but the only one i'd buy is probably a wolverine figure! They look pretty cool though!

Since the Royalties Shenaningans have already been called on you, I'm gonna go ahead and call Size Shenanigans. If these things are the same size as the SWTFs... And I can't see why they wouldn't be... They're larger than a deluxe.
Also, take a look at a SWTF in robot mode. Then take a look at these. Definite improvement, yes?

I'm digging these modes alot.
Way better SWT.
But I'm not a big fan of Iron Man or Hulk.
Though I know my friend loves Hulk so I might buy one for him.
I just wanna see Spidey, Venom(Carnage or Toxin repaint?), and Captain America.
Maybe Silver Surfer, but I think its impossible to make a surfboard into a robot.

Hulk? Nah...
Add a little paint here and there, and you've got a pre-Beast Wars version of Rhinox.

I have to admit, I'm really looking forward to these. Do we have a confirmation of the first 8 figures yet? I know Spidey, Venom, Hulk, and Iron Man are getting the treatment...who else is in (besides the obvious grey Hulk repaint...)?

I'll probably pass on these, but I am curious to see what kind of alt modes they give Spidey and Venom. A tank for the Hulk seems pretty fitting, and IronMan as a jet isn't bad either.

I assumed they'd be spiders, until I saw this:
Ironically, before I read that, I was thinking, 'I wish they'd make Spider-Man turn into something other than a spider, something that would match his weight-class... like a motorcycle!'

Kid-favorites such as Spider-Man, the Hulk and Iron Man can disguise themselves by changing into realistic vehicles like a motorcycle, a tank and a jet.

I don't know. I think Wolverine would be a shoe-in. I really hope they
do a planet size Galactus like they did with Darth Vader/Deathstar.
I too want that Hulk.
