This game looks way more action packed than the first game, which was loaded with action.

Plus Slag saying "Excuse me" after knocking the door down in top of Kickback.

I do have to admit, the Original Movie reference was Awesome. I loved the first Game, gonna go nuts over this one. Just waiting for them to release a DL Demo to keep us occupied.

I like the way Onslaught, Blast Off, and Vortex were voiced. Slag going "excuse me" was a classic homage to the original 80's movie, when the Dinobots interrupted the trial on Quintessa. I seriously like the way this game is looking, but I'm still not sure whether I want to preorder this first or Halo 4... :BANG_HEAD:

Watching the Grimlock clip makes me realize that the Insecticon I was thinking was Chop shop in the game was really Sharpshot. Guess all that background noise at the convention drowned out the pronunciation of his name.

Grimlock and Shockwave call the guy by name in the game. Whoever they were talking to, it wasn't Kickback.

From looks of the character, Sharpshot is the new name for Shrapnel, just as "Hardshell" is for Bombshell.

I know this. All I'm saying that the Insecticon both Shocky and Grimmy were talking to wasn't referred to in-game as Kickback, so must have been Sharpshot, in spite of us seeing Kickback in the same room in this gameplay. Maybe both Kickback nd sharpshot are seen in this level together in different part of this room, or something.

I was looking at the part of Grimlock's gameplay where Slag (he's Slag to me, even if his official name is "Slug") breaks in. Hard to tell who that Insecticon is, but the head makes me think ILL-Star may be right. The shape of the head is pretty close to Kickback's, even if his face isn't. Just have to play the game to find out.

The Insecticon Slug knocks the door over is Kickback.

The Insecticon I said Shockwave and Grimlock spoke to was probably a different guy in another area of the level.

Maybe all three named-Insecticons serve as bosses in each arena that Grimlock needs to free another Dinobot from. Sharpshot may be Snarl's captor, Slug could be Kickback's, and Harshell could be Sludge's (Swoop seemed to get free on his own, unless we're missing something).

Probably. As you said, it was hard to hear over the Insecticons' screeching, the background music, and Grimlock's Hulk speech.

Maybe it's to compensate for the fact that Swoop is the one Dinobot (other than maybe Sludge) who gets beat up in some fashion. Or Shockwave is the one holding him.

Well, when Grimlock is fighting to free Snarl, Swoop kinda just shows up on his own, flying by saying, "Hey Grimlock, where ya been?" while being chased by some flying Insecticons. So, I figured that him showing up like that in Snarl's prison arena meant he could have freed himself.

Or, maybe, Grimlock freed Swoop first and then sent Swoop on up ahead, only to meet back up with Grimlock in Snarl's arena having been chased away and back by Insecticons while waiting for Grimlock to catch up.

You know, I am liking this conversation. We're brainstorming so many good possibilities based on very little footage. :D

GameSpot has uploaded a couple of additional Transformers: Fall of Cybertron gameplay clips. The first features Starscream, the second Optimus Prime and the always popular Warpath. The footage in the second clip has been seen before, but this clip features clear gameplay audio.

Here's the gameplay demo with Matt Tieger commentary again:

And that's why Vortex is my favorite Combaticon. Blast Off was pretty badass too, though...
And was it just me, or did the giant Insecticon Grimlock was fighting look like it was supposed to be Shrapnel/Sharpshot? It has the beetley look, the pincers, and the electric current thing going on.

That was an animal. Sharpshot's a named individual. No way is he getting killed off so swiftly like that. ;)

What the hell was with that last Metroplex missile attack?

It looked like it missed the target/did barely any damage, and the enemy wasn't even that far from the attack... #-o

The rest looks great, and I'm only getting more excited to play this.

Lol @ Starscream's Assassination technique.
I think High Moon understands the concept of TF, and I have faith that they are taking the series in a better direction than what Bay did.
He was political about his opinions of Bay. But I'm really curious to hear what he has to say about the movies.
I agree the sound effects and mechanical design were gr8 in Bay.
I wish now for the 4th movie, to have some elements that are from FOC.
But I think I've heard so much of Matt's sales pitch, I just want to buy this game asap, I won't even have an Xbox and I'm going to buy the game!

One thing that I didn't like in previous vids, was Slag's voice was not how it used to be.
