Something about this design just seems... off to me. Can't quite put my finger on it, but his robot mode looks funky

Honestly, I think it's the head sculpt for me. The actual face is fine... but he's got some Mega Mind going on... and I can't un-see it. I was also hoping his facemask/helmet head was going to be a *lot* better.

The masterpiece figure actually has the correct scale. The Siege figure is much too large.

I can see it some, but i think the issue I have with it is in the arms, something there seems off

Is it how they're only juuuuust low enough for them not to look too awkward?

Looking at some G1 cartoon videos, he's very screen accurate, but I don't think screen accuracy works as well in this case. His torso seems too squat and wide, and I like him with his shoulders higher. The toy does look like a lot of fun though, especially with all the compartmentalization his backpack can do. It's neat to see such a well thought out gerwalk mode, down to the ability to make some great stances displayed in that mode. The little mini-figs are also fun with the articulation they have.

Maybe? I am not a fan of the G1 cartoon model, so that may be playing part too. But the arms do look off

Very cool, enjoyed the detailed shots. The wing transformation was surprising, a lot more involved than I was expecting.
Shame Hasbro seems to have pushed their worst case scenario release date from February to May.

MP-57 Masterpiece Skyfire / Jetfire has been released in Japan and fans are getting their hands on him. One of them is fellow Seibertronian Logan, who gives us a full review, in Italian. Many in hand images showcasing scale have also been posted across the web and Super Robot Ed compiled them into a video which we also have for you below. Enjoy!

Bland, bland, bland.
I prefer sooo much the Commander class toy, so full of small details. TFs with Cybertronian alt. modes were always a little less interesting in their MP incarnations due to the lack of officially licensed vehicles, but Jetfire being so big and almost monochrome worsen everything.
A shame, because I really like the character... still I wonder whether the mold will be reused, and if so how.

At first glance, there's not much differences between this MP and the Siege Commander. Especially the size. It's not like MP-44 Optimus VS the ER Leader Optimus for sure.
So for me, this MP is easily skippable. Especially at 370$CAN plus taxes and shipping.
