New Artwork for Spotlights: Hardhead & Doubledealer

Chris Ryall has updated his blog with some sketches for the upcoming Spotlight comics Hardhead and Doubledealer. Both of these comics will be part of the four issue series "Revelation" that IDW is producing, as previously reported here. This is an excerpt taken from Ryall's Blog:

To tie in with the big 25-question TRANSFORMERS Q&A I've been doing at our message boards today, I wanted to share some pencils from two upcoming TF SPOTLIGHTS here. Following EJ Su's CYCLONUS book, we'll be doing HARDHEAD (penciled by Nick Roche, and shown here), followed by DOUBLDEALER (pencils by Dan Khanna)...

You can view the artwork below, or at Chris Ryall's blog here.

Hardhead

DoubleDealer

Both looking nice, didn't know there was going to be a Doubledealer Spotlight, maybe it'll tie in with Spotlight Hot Rod.

I'm not sure how I feel about the whole Dead Universe line. It's like Transformers zombies...and I'm sorry, that's just not something that is normal or natural. Robot zombies? Undead? That's too far out evern for a comic book.

I believe it's supposed to be almost a sequel to it, the same way Hardhead is supposed to be very sequal-esque to Nightbeat. These are all looking really good. I just hope too much doesn't get left by the wayside or under explained since they're revamping the series a bit.

I guess you're pretty new to the transformers comics then, because in the past one of the best story arcs revolved around robotic zombies:
