I noticed this in TFYuki's posts
https://twitter.com/TFYUKI
As nearly all the Legends figs can be purchased at Tomy Mall, good news for the domestic Japanese costumers as the prices will be much cheaper if you purchase them via the online service.

I am not sure if it is really the right product or not. Maybe it was listed wrong? It's just too expensive.

It was $249, but now went up to $279 likely due to demand if people wanting it first.

First off, this is the wrong thread since this thread is about the takara products, not Hasbro.
Secondly, that isn't amazon selling the item, just a random third party seller listing with an inflate price in this preorder.
I can post a listing there too and so can you.

Ok, these pictures confirm me Blaster is a clear winner on the TT side. I prefer the Hasbro versions for the rest. Rewind is nice but it's not MTMTE enough for me. The beasts just seem a little saturated yet bland on the TT side, almost too G1

Sorry to dissapoint you mate, but it's not lightpiping, they painted part of his visor red and part blue to simulate his face and eyes from the G1 cartoon

Unfortunately, the visor is the one thing that puts me off of this version of Blaster. Also, I hope it's just the white paint with bring lights for the photography, but it really washes out almost all of the facial detail on Blaster. Unless you squint hard, it looks like he's just got a smooth mouth plate covering his face.

Just the lighting 'jake. Though an adjustable visor similar to UW devs would have been nice, the size limitation might be hard to implement.

Transformers Legends LG-31 - Fortress Maximus!!
The huge Transformers is back in the Legends line-up!
60 cm tall in robot mode.
From the 1987 series Transformers Headmasters.
The toy features sound gimmicks such as the original animation opening song, its signature sentences plus new ones registered by the original voice actor specifically for this toy!
Cerebros is also included!
Place your order before the deadline to get it at a special price (or until our allocated quantity lasts)!

I really like the leg color, but the white face with visor just looks wrong to me.
(also, the big black dot on his chest is out of place...)

BUt no confirmation about the Brave Sword? Also, wonder if the headmaster unit would still fit in the Brave Pretender

It's more of their ongoing sometimes misplaced goal to recreate perfect show deco. As Ryan keeps saying, this is often to the detriment of the toy.

And I dont even get it, this toy is clearly not the G1 Blaster but instead a new take on him, due to all the new playability, transformation, gimick, ect. So I dont see why Takara cant instead opt for a deco that works best for this new toy rather than impose their current agenda.
Also, what blows a bit is that MSRP in Japan has gone up 5$ for the Leader Class.

I know.
It looks out of place because they half-assed it. It should have been a painted gray window with the dot. The way it is looks lousy.

But, like you said, that still leaves the face looking off. They cant give him his traditional eyes because of the helmet gimmick.

Oh yeah,f'sho. I was just referring to regular ol' piping such as you'll find on Samus' body suit or super hero costumes, ala Fantastic Four-which is used to break up a simple design.

Yeah, or a double jointed knee. Metroplex could have used an extra swivel just below the knee for a more G1 transformation, but I don't know if that would have helped a Ft. Max city mode. Given his size, Metroplex does have a rather limited and simple transforming scheme...

Mrs. Cramtastic hasn't fully agreed to it yet.. but baby Cramtastic has

Conversation with baby girl went like this:
Me: How cool is Fortress Maximus? Should I get him?
Baby girl: Yeah! It's cool! I want it! Its coming. Ok.
Me: so, yeah?
Baby girl: yeah! I want it! Thank you!
Me: You got it

My question is, where can i order it to FULLY pay for it, like "lock in the price". Anime-Export had it for $165 USD before shipping, i figured he'd be 2.5kg when I calculated shipping which roughly comes to $205 shipped via EMS. Which is like to pay. Now. And then he shows up in a few months

You surprise me Cram with this trial to import from japan when buying from TFSource is only 20$ different. But I welcome you trying to branch out. The place that actually makes you pay everything up front (including shipping so no surprises) is Nippon Yassan: https://www.nippon-yasan.com/figures/17 ... ximus.html
He's 143$ at this moment and with shipping he would probably end up less than 200$, so thats the best price out there and you pay all at once.

Conversion is 2% on paypal. All options come out to about 200$ Nippon Yassan lets you just pay it all.
Also, I see what Takara is doing with their rewing, but by having the eyes and mouthplate so big, the red ends up looking like outlines around his eyes rather than the actual colour of his face. They really shouldnt try to apply show colours on toys that arent the actual show models:
