These Metal Earth kits are detailed DIY models that start as 4" square steel sheets and finish as 3D models. Use the instructions to pop out the pieces, bend the tabs and connect them at attachment points. The upcoming characters released are Megatron, Optimus, Soundwave, and Bumblebee and their images can be found below.

Definitely getting SW. I'm liking the look of OP as well. I have a couple of these and I enjoy putting them together.

Hahaha, Bee has skates!

I finished my first model today: Megatron.

Its wasnt easy but it was pleasant once I got the right tools. I made a few mistakes here and there but overall it wa a fun experience and the end result is not bad. Here are a few pictures of my progress:

What was your trick for the rounded parts? I didn't do so hot at those.

I used the a headphone jack. It had 3 diamateres so one usually worked and if not it gave a rounded shape that I could widen or make smaller after.

I finished Soundwave which I am very proud of. I kicked ass on him and all his tiny ass parts, like Lazerbeak. Here is a breakdown of this model:

Biting the bullet and getting Prime. Not sure how I'll go with it, but hey, may as well have a go!

Please let us know how it goes. And remember to get tweasers instead of the long nose pliers they indicate.

Well BBTS is out of SW, but they have a Gold Bee.

Guess, I'll just have to look elsewhere. I've yet to see the TF ones at retail though.

Does amazon count as retail? Because they have boatloads of em.

Heres what I bought on Amazon, I got the bug!

No, I meant brick and mortar. Instant gratification is so much easier to justify.

I can nab one from walmart for under $10 shipped free to the store, I just never looked there (or anywhere else for that matter). I knew BBTS had them and I could add them to my stack. WM gots everyone beat on price and shipping. :HEADHURTS:

EDIT: that USS Enterprise is real tempting, I really like the spaceships.

I need to put the Millennium Falcon and the Normandy together.

EDIT EDIT: Have you seen this? I'm not even a Batfan and I want one.

Also my wife is a big Doctor WHO fan so she wants most of those when they get released later this year.

I just finished the Black Pearl and the Lunar Landing Module. The Black Pearl was a piece of cake, more for beginners, but the Lunar Module is intense. Lots of teeny tiny parts. But very rewarding. Its a gorgeous model.

Hey Seibertronians, you remember those Metal Earth Transformers model kits that came out a while ago? Well, today we have a new piece of info coming from yours truly; It seems that elusive gold Bumbebee kit has finally hit retail! This, how you say, "Gold Bug" wink wink was spotted at Gryphon Games and Comics in Ft. Collins, Colorado. It's literally been a long time coming for this Bee variant, as Big Bad Toy Store put his pre-order up over a year ago with release apparently planned for this month. Check out the photo of the kit below and tell us if you've seen him around recently as well in the comments below, and remember to send any sighting you think might be new our way!

No one ever reported a sighting to us before this. *shrug*

We pretty much always post the first reported sighting of things, even though it's probably not the first ever seen on shelves, just the first to be confirmed (with photographic proof and such). So send it our way next time! We'll be able to report on it faster, and you get immortalized with a news credit ;)

Sorry I don't have the exact store name, and I kind of saw this a while ago, but if it helps, I saw this product at the Houston, TX Memorial City Mall in one of the "novelty" and game/figures stores along with a couple of Titans Return figures and RID 2015 figures.

As for the Titans Return, I think it was: Skywarp, Stripes (I have never heard of this guy before to be honest) and a couple of Astrotrains.

For RID 2015 there was Drift, Windblade, and I'm pretty sure it was Sideswipe.

Sorry, I didn't know that people were looking for this. They have a ton of the gold version inside Universal Studios Florida at the Transformer ride. They had the gold Bumblebee as well as silver versions of Bumblebee, Soundwave and Megatron. Optimus was sold out.

You've never had so much fun assembling tiny knives into a robot. Thanks to Reddit user yinfandi we've discovered images of the new model from MU Model, the master of menace, the destroyer of deserters who's very voice can tear a bots spark from their very chest, the bot so not-nice they fusion-canon-armed him twice, the leader of the Decepticon Justice Division himself, Tarn!

Now these metal models are true feats of engineering and take few tools, no glue, and a little patience to make something that looks like it came out of a professional metal worker's shop. Just take a look at the images below, that level of detail doesn't take a professional to attain, they're designed that way. Keep in mind however that MU Models are designed for a slightly more experienced to expert metal model maker so this may not be a great piece for beginners or novice builders.

Any fans of the character will not only admire the level of detail on every inch of this model, but the fact that he has a removable faceplate.

It looks like this piece should be hitting stores this month so be on the look out. Happy hunting out there, if Tarn's not already hunting you! Share your thoughts in the forums and as always stay tuned to Seibertron for the ultimate in Transformers news!

I was requesting for Hasbro to finally make some.
