Mine came without packaging but I think some packaging pictures are circulated now on other boards (and maybe here?).

These are made of lame and fail. At least when Gun Megs transformed and fell on the ground, Soundwave could pick him up and shoot things with him. What is this guy going to, prevent a basketball player from jumping by grabbing the ground? Pinch the sides of his feet? Come on.
The only potential I see in this is putting a toy Goomba inside of it, but since the shoe isn't green and doesn't have a wind-up knob, I guess that reference is wasted.

Thanks but that wasn't what I was looking for. I mainly wanted to know if the shoeboxes were covered in wrapping, if they opened up like regular shoe boxes to reveal the figure or what.

I doubt these will appreciate in value much- shellformers are shelfwarmers.

I personally think these are pretty cool. I love the packaging.

As a toy, not all that cool, but as a collector, it doesn't get much better than that. Just my opinion, but items that have that level of camp value, tend to fetch for a decent amount of coin later on.

I'm still debating whether I want this or not. The shoe idea is IMO corny, yet the Megatron fan in me screams "Must have anyway!"
