New Images of Million Publishing exclusive GoShooter

Ya know, Nightbeat is my first experience with this mold and I really like him.
I agree he does have a ton of issues and the whole "gun thing", but there is something to be said for it's simplicity and efficiency. And it is just a really cool muscle car in alt mode.

I am really into Go Shooter's retro-ness. That deco is so cheesy and awesome.
This guy is an exclusive of sorts right?
So it will probably come with a high price tag, yeah?

I can understand the the blue piece on the front door/fender is unpaintable plastic, but why not make it white plastic instead of blue? It sticks out too much.

It's on the same sprue as as his lower torso and waist, which need to be blue.

Still pisses me off that this guy beat out characters I've actually heard of, like Alpha Trion.

If it was possible to convert the mold to an actual headmaster, this would have rock 100x more!

Well the people doing the voting probably were familiar. But I did wish to see an alpha trion that wasn't a botcon release or a club exclusive.

maybe we'll get a new A3 through the next botcon. they were doing previous exclusive "redux" this year.

I liked the Fallen from the list, A combiner Fallen would have been interesting.

So far I got Generations Artfire that was on clearance...now he's gone back up.

Don't sleep on these too much as they do go on clearance and then they will disappear.

Godmasters and Headmaster Jrs. may differ in the mystic side of things, what both have done however is eventually give their Transtectors proper life. To make things easier to organise I'm guessing GoShooter was reclassified as a Godmaster.

I think they might be going for the helicopter vehicle mode being his primary altmode, with the gun mode being an extra form to allow him to work better with Goshooter.

Well, Japan has never been that creative with names, even back in 1988 when G1 Goshooter was released.

Another thing to consider is what sounds cool in one language doesn't necessarily sound cool in another. Think of any Japanese words brought over into English... and how much of the actual phrase we UNDERSTAND (that would be zero for most of us.) Transliterating into the spoken sounds of another language is a real mess! I'm guessing GoShooter sounded cool enough... in Japanese.

There are also instances where they make a two-meaning pun in Japanese. It seems like the BeCool was one of these. Quite interesting.

Either way, the more I learn about languages... the more forgiving I am of these kinds of things. Learning about languages and other cultures is a lot of fun... and it opens up a new world of anime, manga, toy lines, conversations...

And it doesn't look half bad. Note: it's a reference to the Diaclone Doublechangers which were the basis for the G1 Omnibots Overdrive, Camshaft and Downshift.

That...doesn't actually look too shabby. I'll be getting Nightbeat on the 10th, so this'll be an experiment.

It looks pretty easy to do, just rotate the waist 180 and twist the legs 90. Simple but effective. How would he get around though, with the rear wheels inaccessible, use Shūta's rotor to fly?

There are fake wheels molded into the feet that this form utilizes.

Except that Shouki's "Train Bazooka" mode was made official by the story it appeared in. This "Doublechanger-style Attack Mode" for Goshooter is just something done for fun, like all the Gerwalk modes that Hisashi Yuki was making out of the Roadbuster and Brainstorm figures.

See you again when you hit clearance. I have overpaid for all of these in the past. Not doing it any more. Especially not for characters who mean nothing to me. Nice enough to purchase, not nice enough to pay what they're asking though.

Autobase Aichi has recently posted in hand shots of Million Publishing's Generations 2014 Vol. 2 exclusive figure GoShooter on their Facebook page. This will be the first time that the Nightbeat retooled version of IDW's Bumblebee will be available to the Japanese public. This repaint comes straight out of the Japanese G1 series Masterforce where GoShooter was originally a Head Master, but in this iteration his human companion Shuta will be playing the part of a Minicon/Targetmaster borrowed from Generations Blazemaster. The exclusive figure has begun arriving at the doorsteps of Japanese customers who bought the Generations 2014 Volume 2 book and sent in the mail away coupon. Have a look at GoShooter in both modes with his friend, and his G1 counterpart below!

I really want this and Hero X.

I know the IDW Bumblebee mold got a lot of 'meh' reviews when it first came out... but it's really shaping up to be a nice workhorse.

I think the car mode looks fantastic, just needs the blue panels on the door to be something...

I'll be happy to own it. Need to borrow some other toy's guns though. Hate that stupid weapon.

It's not like the weapon that comes with 'Bee/Goldfire/Nightbeat is any kind of freaking prize. Humongous, gawdy...you'd almost be better off with the mini-con but yes, I get what you're saying. If I get my hands on this figure, and it is by far the best looking one out of all the uses of this mold, then I'll be scaring up a different weapon for him too.

I like this guy so much, I might not even wait for him to go on clearance!
