first the rolling thunder prime with those terrible colors and dumb clear energon weapons, now this johnny-come-lately modifications that people dont really want/need. these guys need to get their act together and think before they move on a project or these might be the first and last we will see of Xovergen.
the reason fansproject stuck is they put their best foot forward and did what the fans really wanted, and made CJ unique from his mold mate Bumblebee. people are still clamoring for that set and it reaches upwards of 300 bucks. same goes for their second release, CC. it was a necessity for alot of people to get ultra magnus his armor.
tl;dr: try again Xovergen!
I am not sure what you mean by johnny-come-lately mods. If you mean that the upgrade came after the figures release, that is the very definition of all figure upgrades. If you mean that Xovergen is a new 3rd part company, then what was the deadline for 3rd party emergence? Do you consider Crazy Devy or Perfect Effect johnny-come-lately? Everybody's taste is different. Like all 3rd party projects, some will like it and some wont. You might not like/need it but that doesn't mean a thousand other people wont. Some people like crazy devy's devastator upgrade but don't care for upgrades for superion. That doesn't stop crazy devy from developing superion upgrades.
Fansproject's best foot was not with CJ upgrade kit. It was a good start. People are now clamoring for the CJ upgrade and commands such prices because it was very limited and not many people heard about Fansproject until CC. I suspect that Xovergen will be around for a while and will produce some great products.
