So does settle it once and for all that Earthrise wave 4 is definitely cancelled?

Also nice to put a face to these at last

Actually we can just say Wave 4 is Exclusive to Target in the US, and pending distribution elsewhere ;)

Ah Thrust the Redwing before Redwing who is now the Redwing after Redwing and will likely be hard to find as well.

Secured my preorders for Thrust and Runabout. So I will have 12 seekers and both battlechargers now, splendid.

Also managed to use the Target $10 off $50 coupon to pre-order them, so that helped

Oh I see you don't need a Red(wing) card to order them this time, should I grab them or wait for a better retailer for Canadian?

Yes Redwing was selects. Thrust and Runabout are normal ER (basically wave 4) that just happen to be Exclusive to Target in the U.S.

depends, if you absolutely want to ensure you get him, then buy him now. I will wait for the canadian release. And if it doesn't happen, so be it.

wouldnt have minded the micromasters but they will probably not be offered over here.

Having to pay more than a deluxe for runabout kills him off for me and then I have no need of wave 3 Runamuck so that's money saved.

Headmasters are tempting for the Japanese decos at £80 but something new and shiny wins over versions of something I already have for the most part, dampens the temptation.

*thruust, not much point not being able to get the other seekers so I'll stick with my classics that I'm also missing seekers from... hard to believe brand spanking new G1 (reissues) were the easiest to get out of all the toylines.

Well Thrust is sold out. Bleh.

Does anyone else but me find it odd that Thrust's nosecone is solid maroon, but his cone head is black?

As someone whose favorite "G1" seeker toy is the CW Thundercracker, nope

I find it odd that Barricade isn't called Barricade. Guess it's to not be confusing given the Siege and upcoming Selects ones but the venn diagram of "people that care about both" and "people that know what G1 Micromaster Barricade looks like" is just a circle. Not sure who it helps to use "Runner".

Was shocked by how easy it was to get in on Thrust and Runabout. Had just assumed they'd sell out in mere seconds like most of the other Target exclusive stuff lately.

That really surprised me too, it took an hour and 20 minutes to sell out after it showed up in the store. Maybe it actually caught people off guard enough scalperbots weren't actually ready for it

It does kinda spoil the illusion of his head being the real nosecone, but that's paint budget for you.

I'm just glad he doesn't have the halfassed turbofans that Henkei/Generations Thrust did. Remember those?

I haven't got my Overlord with me (since I'm at college), but I have noticed how similar their alt-modes look since I picked up Snapdragon a couple of weeks ago. I've been wanting to compare them, so thanks for the image!

Now this makes me want that Takara Overlord I keep seeing on Ebay. Snapdragon is such a cool space jet.

So, since Thrust and Runabout are going to the Target exclusives, are they both going to really screw up the TF aisle in Target? SS Leadfoot got his own peg. If they do the same thing, then Runaout will need his own peg, and Thrust would need his own shelf space.

Hmm, without that space Ironworks that was rumored that Micron set is suddenly...completely uninteresting, cool, that's some money saved. I will have to track down a Runabout still though, and I am now curious to see how accurate those other rumors for GO are/were since this one was only half right.

Maybe this is why Skywarp and Thundercracker are reportedly getting clearanced now, to make space for this next "wave" of Target exclusives?

If it means they don't get shortpacked, or otherwise are hard to find, then they can take up as much space as they want, in my view.

They won't get shortpacked. Target exclusive figures generally come in solid cases. Leadfoot was packed that way, at least.
