Well, I immediately noticed that they've managed not to turn his head crest around. They really should have stuck to the other photos(they made him look much prettier).

the Superman thing? that was pretty obvious from the movie in itself. plus if they did in some other way, I don't think we would've had the same result. the Superman thing is a small sacrifice in the grand scheme of things in order to make this figure that much more better

I’m not really sure whether his head in the picture is mistransformed, or it was the concept art head and they’re giving us the option to have him with it. Looking good though

The more I see of this figure the more I am finding myself definitely looking forward to getting a design that looks more like the in-film model. I'm sure it will look great on my Bayformers shelf for sure.

Anyone notice how the mistransformed head looks like the concept art? I'm pretty sure that was meant for jet mode. Somewhere, I read that it was based off the ILM designs that Takara had, and therefore the jet mode is not 100% accurate to the movie. But the fact that you can convert between the concept head and movie head is pretty flipping awesome

Haha, its for those who like the films and grew up on them. Those who hated the design then still hate it but there have been new and different TF fans since then and this is for them.

Based on the other figures released so far, it looks like they are making their rounds with the 2007 cast. Can't wait to see future figures if that is the case!

Personally I didn't like the movie designs when they were new and radically different from the norm. But now that we're 12 years and six movies in they've become the "new normal". I don't look at them at all the same way today as the way I did in 2007, they're just another aesthetic that exists and I've grown to enjoy.
