So basically sturdier but less articulated Tamashii stages.
Still, cool. I might get some. It would make sense to throw in some claws for them though, to grip figures without pegs.

I only like these things for displaying jets flying above smaller robots. But for robot mode displays, I cant unsee them and they look stupid. Unless of course youre into the whole flying superhero thing. But im not. I dont collect "action" figures. I collect transformable robot figures.

I'd probably use other figures to block view of the bases themselves - e.g., make it look like Arcee is leaping over a swarm of Insecticons, and arrange the insecticons so you can't see most of the stand.

Very cool. I much prefer the look and supposed sturdiness of these than the cheap ones I'm currently using. I actually pose two of the shown figures on flight stands already (Eva Prime and Arcee) and these seem cheap enough to replace my stands.

I really wish Generations Jetfire had a socket for these. I was going to use MP Tracks' stand for him, but he's not compatible!

For those that don't know this is the stand that comes with MP Tracks. It isn't a huge stand so it's useless for taller figures in bot mode. How many figures even have the tiny 3mm hole to use this? More likely it feels like they're doing this to appease Japanese fans that are pissed that Road Rage doesn't include the stand like Tracks. If they really intended for this to be used by a variety of figures it would have included a universal support like other stands

The ones I own or have owned that have flight stand ports:
Generations Brainstorm
Generations Arcee (as shown above)
Nightbird (since she shares majority of mold with Arcee)
Almost all the AoE figures I've got or had (the main range of Deluxes and Voyagers)
Does anyone have a full complete list? I presume other Generations figures have it that I haven't bought. It's one of my fave things Hasbro have done with the figures in recent years. A simple unobstrusive feature that can be totally ignored if not wanted but is much appreciated by those of us who do like using flight stands. I want it to be standard where possible like how 5mm weapon posts are a mostly standard thing.

That's a pretty good price for just a get-the-job-done stage. Might pick up two or three when they're available.

The real question is can they hold up Devastator?

I think all of the Combiner Wars Deluxes have 3mm hexagon holes on the backs of their pelvises. It's been a consistent enough feature I expected something like this to be released at some point.
Unfortunately, the 3mm holes are inaccessible in leg form, and awkwardly placed in arm-form.

Takara Tomy posted a compatibility list with a translation on TFormers. Not sure what the point of listing figures that aren't compatible is, but whatever.
AD01 Optimus Prime - Neither Mode
AD02 Classic Optimus Prime - Both Modes
AD03 Grimlock - Neither Mode
AD04 Classic Bumblebee - Both Modes
AD05 Dinobot Scorn - Both Modes
AD06 Crossarms (Crossfire) - Both Modes
AD07 Slug - Neither Mode
AD20 Black Knight Grimlock - Neither Mode
AD21 Hound - Both Modes
AD22 Galvatron - Robot Mode Only
AD23 Drift - Both Modes
AD24 Strafe - Both Modes
AD25 Dinobot Slash - Both Modes
AD26 Lockdown - Vehicle Mode Only
AD27 Bumblebee - Robot Mode Only
AD28 Snarl - Both Modes
AD29 Slog - Both Modes
AD30 Sky Drift - Neither Mode
AD31 Armor Knight Optimus Prime - Neither Mode
AD32 Decepticon Stinger - Robot Mode Only
ADEX Rollbar - Neither Mode
MP-25 Tracks & MP-26 Road Rage - Robot and Flight Modes
MP-27 Ironhide - Robot Mode Only
MP-28 Hot Rod - Robot Mode Only
LG01 Rattrap - Neither
LG02 Convoy - Neither
LG03 Tankor - Neither
LG04 Roadbuster - Robot Only
LG05 Whirl - Neither
LG06 Sky-Byte - Shark Mode Only
LG07 Jetfire - Neither
LG08 Swerve/Tailgate - Neither
LG09 Brainstorm - Both
LG10 Arcee - Both
LG11 Chromia - Neither
LG12 Windblade - Neither
LG13 Megatron - Both
LG14 Ultra Magnus - Neither

LG16 Slipstream - Neither
LG17 BlackArachnia - Neither
UW01 - No Figures Compatible

Leader Megatron being compatable in robot mode is kinda silly since he must tower over the stand.

The ones I picked out are incorrect. Sky-Byte has a hole for both shark and robot, Windblade has a round hole that may work since it's surrounded by rubber, all CW deluxes have a hexagonal hole for a stand.

"An action figure is a poseable character figurine, made of plastic or other materials, and often based upon characters from a film, comic book, video game, or television program. These action figures are usually marketed toward boys and adult collectors. It has been argued that action figures which represent traditional masculine traits and are closely associated with the public sphere are particularly popular with boys. While most commonly marketed as a children's toy, the action figure has gained wide acceptance as an adult collector item. In such a case, the item may be produced and designed on the assumption it will be bought solely for display"
"1980s–1990s
The 1980s spawned all sorts of popular action figure lines, many based on cartoon series', which were one of the largest marketing tools for toy companies. Some of the most successful to come about were Masters of the Universe, G.I. Joe, Thundercats, and Super Powers Collection, to name just a few. Early in the decade, the burgeoning popularity of Japanese robot anime such as Gundam also encouraged Takara to reinvent the Microman line as the Micro Robots, moving from the cyborg action figure concept to the concept of the living robot. This led to the Micro Change line of toys: objects that could "transform" into robots. In 1984, Hasbro licensed Micro Change and another Takara line, the Diaclone transforming cars, and combined them in the US as the Transformers, spawning a still-continuing family of animated cartoons."
