Official Fall of Cybertron Bruticus Image

The Transformers facebook page has released an official image of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron's Bruticus. While this isn't anything we haven't seen before (check out our Toy Fair 2012 Fall of Cybertron gallery) this does seem to confirm that Blast Off and Vortex will be released in in the colors that were shown at Toy Fair 2012 rather than their traditional G1 colors. Something tells me a 3rd party Onslaught will show up by 4th quarter 2012. Something Voyager-sized.

Not quite what I was hoping for, even after the Toy Fair pics.

I'm still gonna get him though ;)

I agree...I'm a little disappointed that Onslaught is not Voyager sized. Did anyone see the rear view pictures from Toy Fair? It looked like his entire chest cavity is hollow and you can see Onslaught's head from behind. It looks horrifically flimsy. THe way they created and connected the combiners in Energon seems like an improvement over this (not the figures themselves, but the scale of the limbs and torso).

To be fair, the only one that seems REALLY off is Vortex (who should be grey and not red). Onslaught, Brawl and Swindle look pretty close to their G1 colors. Blast off was always black or a really dark brown, the dark blue/purple is close enough for me.

I'm curious though, the screenshots we've seen for the game show Blast Off as a gold/silver spaceship, and Vortex as more of a gold/red. I wonder if they plan to change them in-game as well, or if Hasbro just decided to do their own thing.

Well, 4 of them are essentially in their G1 color schemes, while Vortex has taken on Swindle's G2 color scheme. I was there for G2, so it's close enough for my tastes...but just far enough off that I'll probably end up double dipping for a potential Japanese version that's totally G1 accurate.

Ah well, as the first proper gestalt team since Energon, they're molds well worth milking. Think FunPub will do them in full-on G2 colors to represent the Shattered Glass Combaticons? Do they have bios yet?

Let's see: SG Onslaught can't plan ahead but stays mellow when his meager plans fall through, SG Brawl is a master of stealth, SG Blast Off likes to get up close and personal with his targets, SG Vortex maintains complete stability even in the stormiest conditions, SG Swindle spends all his free time doing charity work, and SG Bruticus just plain won't follow orders, unlike SG Fangry.

Vortex and Blades are just having an identity crisis right now

Still looks like i'm saving money on this one. The actual pictures from the event show some serious gorilla arms. It's not doing the concept art justice.

That said, I do kinda want Brawl.

Would have thought Hasbro would have learnt their lesson with PCC's ... guess not.

It looks pretty good to me, it's not perfect but it's a step in the right direction. I am wondering what the articulation is going to be like. Will Bruticus at least have elbows that bend the right way?

In a good way, I've always liked the WFC/FOC aesthetic. Even if the combiner mode is crap, the five individuals should be fine.

Definitely buying the whole team for individual alt/robot forms with the hopes of the possibility of third party enhancements. Still though, I'm a little bummed at the wasted potential after seeing them combine in the trailer.
