Possible Solid Cases Coming for Transformers Titans Return Ramhorn

Posted by william-james88 Sep 27, 2017 at 9:45am CDT 17,659 views
Entertainment Earth has a new listing for Ramhorn where he can be ordered individually instead of having to buy an entire wave of Titan Masters. This only ever happens on when an item is either sold in solid cases (meaning a box full of the same toy) or when there is even distribution of figures within a case. However, the fact that Ramhorn is the only Titan Master sold individually on the site is far more likely to mean that they will be getting solid cases of only this figure. These cases would be reaching stores in November, if any store other than Entertainment Earth orders them. It also further lends to the idea that ramhorn is truly the final Titan Master to be released at retail with the final Titan Master cases being made up of only him.

Doubtful. I'm not even sure what he would go with, seeing as how the other 3 die casts were with some sort of boxset or figure.

And I really hope I see Ramhorn before November. I don't want to have to go online for a single titan master

Contrast this with the packaging for the Linebacker Prime/Orion Pax 2 pack, and there is absolutely zero mention that Orion Pax even has a removable head or Titan Master Partner. This is why I believe Refractor is yet to be revealed, if he ever will be. A second offering with a deluxe using Refractor as their head and the Scorponok die cast TM makes the most sense, if they haven't just completely scrapped it. Also, Refractor being indicated as an Autobot on the cereal box, doesn't necessarily mean anything since they already had Blunderbuss and Overboard under the wrong factions.

Reflector or Magnificus makes the most sense, but we could easily be speculating about nothing if Hasbro has simply just cancelled the plans anyway.

Along those same lines though, the instructions for Orion Pax say "Titan Master Figure" so if Ginrai is a Titan Master for Magnus Prime based on "Titan Master" terminology, Orion Pax has this too.

That is why I specified the packaging instead of the instructions. The packaging is the more official advertising of the product. You have to take the head off in order to transform Orion Pax, so the instructions are going to have to call it something no matter what. I would also assume Cognam's head is also going to be called a titan master, but that doesn't mean he is part of the line either.

Unless...Cogman's head is Refractor :michaelbay:
(kidding, of course)

But that assumes that Titan Master is a word just used for toys from the Titans return line, which it isn't. Cogman has been referred to by hasbro as having a titan master, and clearly he's not in the Titans Return line. Plus, that trypticon box is a spoof element of fiction, like the legends comics, and fiction and toys should be seen as two different entities. Of course this is my interpretation, just like what id previously discussed is other people's interpretation. But then in that case to avoid as much subjectivity as possible, it is best to rely on 1 thing that is as objective as possible:

Are the words Titans Return written on the box?

Yes=part of titans return
No=not part of titans return

That will be very important for me when comes time to write top lists and the like.

funnily enough...most of the reviews for Cogman that I've seen seem to steer clear of using the Titan Master name for his headmaster(even though we basically know that's what it is) same with Nitro Zeus

I'd be curious to see if the instructions for Deluxe Cogman mention "Titan Master" or something else, like Headmaster as referenced in the actual film.

If it is still going to be released, NYCC would probably be the next best show to debut him.

If Scorponok still exists, I just hope his release would help answer the "who is Refractor?" question as Refractor is really the only disputed Titan Master from the Trypticon cereal box.

I thought Hasbro was using terms like "Titan Master-compatible" in reference to Cogman (and Nitro). Since they're clearly in a separate line, that's how I've been interpreting their use of Titan Masters.

Correct me if I'm wrong but we have no official documentation (instructions, packaging, etc.) from Hasbro that actually says:

  • Dynamus (Evolutionary Mode Switch) is Quickswitch's Titan Master
  • Fengul (Optics Scorch) is Laser Optimus Prime's Titan Master
  • Ginrai (Chokon Power) is Magnus Prime's Titan Master
  • Parsec (Light Speed) is Nautica's Titan Master
  • Professor Go (Manipulate Cosmic Matter) is Metalhawk's Titan Master
  • Fathom (Armor Crush) is Tidal Wave's Titan Master

We do know:

  • There is no Titans Return labeling on the packaging or instructions for Shreddicus Maximus and Primitive Skateboarding Optimus Prime but Shreddicus Maximus is labeled as a Titan Master figure. Shreddicus Maximus (Red Gnar) does appear on the Trypticon cereal box checklist.
  • There is no Titans Return labeling on the packaging or instructions for Transformers Tribute Orion Pax but Orion Pax's head is labeled as a Titan Master figure.
  • The Trypticon cereal box mentions Dynamus, Fengul, Ginrai, Parsec, Professor Go, Fathom, and Refractor as Titan Masters that have not yet officially been linked (in packaging, instructions, or other marketing material) to other Titans Return figures.
  • The Trypticon cereal box does not mention Cogman as a Titan Master figure.
  • The Trypticon cereal box erroneously placed Blunderbuss and Overboard in incorrect faction lists.

Really hope this becomes a thing it would be an amazing way to get some obscure characters and heck maybe Scorponok could be part of the set as the final one (24'th or 25'th) and could be the die cast of the set.

We could get Snapdragon, Sunstreaker, Thinkbox, the Takara exclusive head's in Hasbro colors and the remaining Autobot Master Warriors!

Anyone want to make a full list of the possible 24 or 25 characters?

Nice, though I am not exactly thrilled by the prospect of having to wait until November. At least I have Shuffler to tide me over until then.

Whelp, aside from Overlord, I just completed my TR set with the arrival of Arcee and Slugslinger. That Arcee box was very neat. I was considering keeping it intact and checking if there was different packaging at Toys R Us. (I suspect at least a sleeve over the box...) But, I couldn't wait to see Daniel...I mean Leinad. What a great time to have vacation from work!

Honestly I've been calling him "Danielle" to keep it consistent with Arcee.

I think I'm just going to call him bullet-head. I keep getting a serious SNL Coneheads vibe every time I look at the TM's head.

For those of you worried about finding Titans Return Slugslinger at a Brick and Mortar store, we can now confirm that the last figure of Titans Return is showing up on US shelves!
Thanks to a sighting by Seibertronian Fury413, we know he's been spotted at a Mishawaka, Indiana Meijer store. Meijer is also, coincidentally, having a buy-one-get-one 50% off sale on Transformers!
Check out the photographic proof below, and if you spot Slugslinger anywhere please let us know in the sightings section of the site, as well as the forums below!
