Yeah if I see it on clearance I'm picking one up as well. The truck mode was good, as was Orion Pax. Never cared for the super mode.

Very interesting choice for a Prime Wars reissue...it's a pretty good figure honestly at least. I do have the Star Convoy retool so I probably won't pick this up, but neat for anyone that missed out!

It makes sense to rerelease the most widely distributed Orion Pax toy just in time for Orion's turn on the big screen. Now if only Optimal Optimus and Battletrap would show up in a movie...

Just realized, this kind of reminds me of that time Toys'R'Us suddenly started carrying Armada Unicron 5 years later. Were any of those in Armada packaging instead of Universe, or was that just a rumor based on the shelf tag saying "Armada Unicron"?

Appart the flawed ball joints of Orion's hips, that Optimus is indeed among the best.

I remember seeing it in box at either SDCC or Pulse on thinking they're releasing MP10 again. My jaw hit the floor when I realized that was the new Prime. One other thing that I remember that everyone had an issue with, was the Cab Orion Pax robot was super floppy. It was only surpassed by the Star Convoy release.

It does have some issues, but it's very nice Prime in full Prime mode.
Yes the hip ball joints are annoying, the messy cab, and weak ankles.
But he very much looks the part and overall is a spot on G1 Prime in evolved robot mode.
He is also a ton of fun to mess around with.

All of these annoying issues were fixed for the Nemesis Prime version. I highly recommend it.
Plus, the gaps filler upgrades are still available at AliExpress for both POTP Optimus and his Nemesis. They are really worth it.

Hear hear! I don't really care for the original because... it doesn't hit me quite right, possibly because Optimus himself is an unevolved character, unlike Rodimus Prime, Optimal Optimus and Star Convoy.

Anyone buy one of these yet? Are the cards still just 1 of 12 randomly packed? I don't need the toy but if they've done something different like put in a generic card that's something I'd like to pick up.

Here's my progress so far on painting up POTP shells with 3D-printed fronts by Mini Mondo Mayhem,and custom backplates of Cyber Planet Keys and the Guiding Hand by Prize Inside (Trent Troop).
Each shell will either hold a bot with a Prime Master, Headmaster, Cyber Planet key (backpack), or Guiding Hand (backpack).
